Daffodil, daffodil
You I did kill.
Picking you,
And vasing you;
Like a human will

Clinical lies
Men wearing ties
You’ll be alright
Just finish the night
Prolonged goodbye
I wrote this while I was still in the psych ward at the hospital. I was there for three days and I didn’t sleep at all for all three. My psychosis has never been that bad. I was seeing people walk by my door, faces in all the patterns on the wall and the blanket and everywhere, whispers of unintelligible things, and even a shadow that kept coming for me.
That was the worst time of my life. The only thing that got me through was a red crayon I found under my bed. I used it to color on styrofoam cups. And I wrote this poem on the backing of the hospital bracelet I had with it. This poem got me through.

Poem about no one
Cause I’m a lone one
Alone on this rock
I talk a lot
But no one does listen
Never does it end
Round rock, caged in
A one person pen.

Mulch fur
I know what you did.
In your head.
Streams of red.
I see in your eyes,
There a disguise.
What lies beneath the skin?
Evil eating kin.
A Vulture.
