Finally an update on my fan comic

So here are some designs I made for my transformers fan comic. Keep in mind this is my own canon and this whole comic is basically just "what if hasbro hired me to make a transformers and I had creative control"

We got Optimus, I wanted to give him the claws this time around because Megatron always gets them and for my Megs he's a little too brute force for that. I wanted their designs to somewhat mirror eachother.

Speak of the devil, Megatron. I made Optimus really colorful and Megatron so monochromatic to show how opposite they ended up being. Megatron's palette is all purple-grays, grays, and purples if you don’t count his windows.

Wheeljack! I made him a BMW 507 (roughly, I struggle drawing cars) because I just felt like it was high time he had a shot at being a sports car. Made him a cowboy because I was thinking about how I wanted him to be tough and have the scientist aspect so to not spoil lore cowboy made sense with the story I had going.

Perceptor. Yes, I made Perceptor a woman, we need more women in stem and I'm also not planning on including windblade because I just don't feel like I can add anything others haven't. I'm still a bit shaky on the color palette but let me know what you think. Her glasses are to like enhance her sight, not to correct it.

Ratchet mah boi. Decided to make him large because I liked how tfp ratchet looked. Don't let the smile decieve you, he's still grumpy 90% of the time. Still figuring out how he would transform so there might be minor changes.

Jetfire :] to explain the lower flat bits, I saw how some of the toys would handle the flat part of a plane and I thought about it and came up with these things. I imagine they move in tandem with the wings for emotive purposes.

After 1 million years, I finally have a starscream design that I'm happy with. Snatched the finial from prime and mashed it with cyberverse. Can y'all tell I love bright colors? Took me a bit to learn to love tfp Starscream's design because he's so grey.

Needed to nail down Starscream's design and vibe and then Jetfire decided to walk in

To explain the cat and dragon I have some characters in transformers associated with certain animals so I can kind of base their mannerisms around it. It also somewhat changes how I draw them. (for example Starscream is a cat he has cat eyes) The basing is very loose and it doesn't really have any rhyme or reason (Ratchet is a lion and Wheeljack's creature is c o w b o y)

So I kin Starscream and I've been working on a self-indulgent script for a fanfic comic.

I wanted to focus on some parts I thought were good in the continuities I've seen (good as in good for the story, this is not about morals)

Parallels between humans and Cybertronians

Redemption is an option

Cybertroniana are flawed but are capable of growing over the series

Lasting trauma from past events

In the case of Starscream, these are applied to him heavily. I wanted a Starscream that got to have a happy ending, and I wanted a better explanation for why he would do the things he does.

Not getting spoiler heavy because my comic is not out yet.

Anyways, at the very beginning of the series, it will start out very similar to the usual formula, with Starscream constantly trying to overthrow but simultaneously sucking up to Megatron.

I want my series to start with the pretty basic formula, but I think the intrigue will be in how drastically different it gets later on.

To cap it, Starscream gets beaten too much by others so I decided to give him therapy myself.
