This is the Gerrymandering competition - what on earth is it for if not for a guy named Gerry? funnily enough, I went through entire seasons of the podcast thinking his (full) name was Jar-ed, not Ger-ald, because Jon Sims (both the character and the man playing the character who said the name) pronounces them very similarly. Fortunately for the sake of Gerry in the Gerrymandered blorbo competition, his name is actually Gerry.

So I've gathered that the Blaseball fandom is particularly good at organizing this kinda stuff. That and my first attempt to get rid of Jaylen (which btw the idea was that people would be too lazy to explain Blaseball and just vote batman) only served to spread this blog throughout said fandom more then any other other fandom featured on this blog.

These unfortunate set of circumstances have created a very difficult to defeat foe. I will need to think long and hard about if there is anything I can even do, or if I just have to wait for Jaylen to win fair and square.

She was murdered by an umpire in an act of divine retribution for the fanbase's transgression. The fanbase exploited game mechanics to bring her back to life. Immediately she murdered 12 people. She died again and got revived a second time as part of a team of undead players that killed god. She's a really awful batter. She has, like, 16 songs written about her and they're all really good. I thought about her every single day for a period of six consecutive months. I love her.

I'll be real. I'm an outsider to the Blaseball fandom. I don't understand it. I think they've crowdfunded characters from fictionalized fucked-up Baseball stats and a dream. I love seeing what the fuck they're doing in their eldritch sandbox just so much.

Ok so if you wanna vote Buneary you can go ahead and vote for it, if you wanna vote GLaDOS first you need some additional context. Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics are Laws made by science fiction author Isaac Asimov, that robots in his stories are programmed to follow (however someone in the notes pointed out that they are not unbreakable.) The point is the Laws are the following, remember them for when you are voting (btw there is technically a zeroth law, but we are going to ignore it);

The First Law: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

The Second Law: A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Yeah I kind of expected that not gonna lie, this is the Homestuck website after all.

I'm still super happy with how far he got and would like to thank all of the 569(+that one person who voted for Vriska but then got convinced by my propaganda) people who supported Doom-shroom in this journey. I don't think I would have been motivated enough to make all the art I did if it wasn't that close of a poll!!!

I would also like to thank you Blorbo-Gerrymandering(despite having forsook my blorbo) because if you hadn't made this tournament then I wouldn't have had a reason to make ANY of this art at all! This tournament got me to step outside of my norm and make more art then I normally do in a week and for that I have to thank you :))))

Bracket going into Round 2

Fun stat:

You defeated my gerrymandering on 5/16 polls, however i'm only really sad about the loss of Giovanni. (also my attempt to weaken Jaylen probably just helped them so idk if that really counts)

Round 2 polls start later today/tomorrow depending on your timezone. Make sure to read the bonus rule being added if you haven't already (linked in pinned post)

Fun bonus rule: Starting round 2 if a character beats the other with 2 different options* I will be FORCED to gerrymander in their favor to the best of my ability in the next round**.

*Example: If Character 1-Option 1 has 60%, Character 1-Option 2 has 25%, and Character 2 has 15%, then not only will Character 1 win, but will get the bonus next round.

**In the unlikely chance that 2 characters with this bonus are against each other, it cancels out, and I can gerrymander whoever I want again.
