In the wake of a type of warfare the world had never seen before, everything has changed. Jessie was raised in one world, but she has to make it on her own in another.

The year is 1925. America is five years into Prohibition. In the wake of a nation-wide ban on alcohol, gangs are finding their feet in the illegal production and sale of bathtub gin. Jessie is a small-time moonshine brewer, developing her own method which gives her product the faint taste of chilli powder.

Cropping her hair short, living for the wild parties and short skirts and complete lack of inhibition, Jessie knows that the world in which she has made a name for herself is only temporary, but she can’t find it in herself to care.
