Garth was absolutely a kid who is either incredibly shy or talks non-stop with no in between. I’m convinced everyone in the league had different first impressions of him depending on if they met him on land or in the water.

no cause i just think it's really funny that garth's entire thing is hating himself and not being confident and never getting as strong as he could be because of that. and then they rewrote his backstory so that he went to a fucking underwater elite hogwarts and he's super aggressive and confident because of that??? like even with that backstory you can still make him the same person??? have him be shitty in classes because he's comparing himself to other students or have the students make fun of him or something idk but lord..... there were so many ways to go about the rebirth backstory that didn't completely make him a different character and like. it's all right there! they have the ingredients!! but no. no instead they did That
