First pictures of Pino in 1976/1977. These are rather cursed... lucky for Pino he got a make over for the second season of sesamstraat. I'm sorry for everyone who gets nightmares from this.

This design was created by Ton Hasebos, who also build him. In the first season Pino had a Belgian accent.

So, Im thinking of giving you guys some history on pino, only I need to do a bit more research. So be prepared for some kind of disturbing pictures of early pino.

Here is another picture of my fave big blue bird.

Did you know that the different colour of pino was one of the requirements made by sesame street? With this colour difference, the Netherlands was allowed to take over the figure and add it to the Dutch version of sesame street.
