CHAPTER IV

Mylydos ⤬ March 21st 8PM 1706.

tw: decapitation  A discovery is made when the truth is revealed of the civil unrest in Mylydos - to choose King Caligula or the Rebel leader Dimitri. Through whispered talks, one joint decision is made. The slaughter of King Caligula was inevitable. 

With rebel forces from the islands armed with unrest from the underground caverns that housed dwarves and fairies, chaos befell the night and nothing short of bloodshed was made. The marble castle that sat at the center of Mylydos was dressed in crimson. Blue Devils worked together in the chaos, killing loyalists of the nobles while decimating the soldiers that fought so gallantly and stupidly under the mad king. It wasn’t long before a head is decapitated and held proudly by Dimitri. A roar envelops the halls, the king is dead. A new era will begin. 

Mylydos ⤬ March 21st 1AM 1706.

There’s a stillness and peace in the aftermath of the chaos. Dimitri who is now the head of Mylydos personally greets the crew - thanking them with a look of earnest gratefulness. It’s evident that the horrors and atrocities that had long plagued the country was only starting to heal. As a means of thanks, he leads them towards the corridors towards Dion’s Gate.

“Mylydos is an ancient country that had always been devoted to the protection of the Gods. This temple was built underneath the castle grounds for Genesis.” 

The gate opens at the touch of the newly crowned king, his blood lighting the the walls with a golden sheen. As it opens, they stand witness to a gigantic plaque that seems to float from an ancient source of power. BLOOD THIEF pales at the sight, she recognizes it as one of the relics that had once been transcribed from her own country. LITTLE MISS RED too seems to recognize the words that are marked on it. 

“It’s a prophecy,” BLOOD THIEF murmurs as she approaches. 

“and a map,” LITTLE MISS RED finishes, following as she looks through the words. 

“Four runes protected by friends and foe, only with each piece will Genesis be found.” The two say the words in unison. 

“Seems like we have a lead with this now,” GOD KILLER nods. He hands over a device to LITTLE MISS RED to record the words. The coordinates are marked and the words that follow read as “arce in caelum.” 

Uncharted Territory ⤬ March 24th 10AM 1706.

The crew now ready and assembled follow the cryptic message from the rune, the wind seemingly only getting stronger and stronger. 

“How the hell are we suppose to get there?” CHILD OF FLAMES says exasperated. 

“Everything’s possible,” CHEMICAL PEARL ignores them. “Focus!” DEMON EATER yells as everything becomes more turbulent by the passing second.  

It isn’t long before the ship finds a whirl of water shooting from the center of what appears to be a funnel. The ship jostles and only the sound of yelling can be heard from each other. “We need to take that upwards,” GOD KILLER yells toward CROOKED HOUND. 

RAZOR FIST watches in awe as the massive vessel gets captured in by the whirl. Thankfully he had prepared for this, handing the rest of the crew all a rope to wrap themselves around as the ship itself begins to swim upward, lifting through the clouds. THREE EYED OMEN seems unfazed by the sheer absurdity of the situation, rather, watching ANGEL OF TERROR for a reaction. 

PHANTOM MERCY and ATLAS VOID work through the chaos, skilled at minimizing the damages that threatened to rip through the sails and boards of the ship. MASTER OF DEATH and SUNKEN WITCH watch from within the safety of the ship, alarmed but the pair seemingly decided to stay put amidst the roaring winds. 

A loud thud can be heard and the wind seems to vanish. They were thousands of feet above the sky now and no sign of ocean beneath them, instead, the vessel seemed to sail through the clouds instead. KING OF DROUGHT and MOON BLADE’s surprise was evident on his face. 

“There’s land!” CHILD OF FLAME yells from above, pointing to a thicker padding of clouds that were shaped like land masses, with sprouts of grass peeping through. 

[ NOW ENTERING  SAINT ANTE]

SAINT ANTE 

Saint Ante ⤬ March 24th - April 16th.

𝐎𝐁𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 - the cloudy forests ft all the crew. 

It almost felt as if they were standing in heaven, clouds formed through the whole arena with different colored items lining the path. They dock the ship, most of the crew gazing at the landscape before them in wide eyed curiosity. 

“It’s beautiful,” SUNKEN WITCH says with a smile. “There has to be valuable things here.” 

“Or strange things,” CHEMICAL PEARL quips, her fingers prodding at what looked like a flower. 

“Did the coordinates say anything else?” GOD KILLER asks LITTLE MISS RED and she shook her head. He sighs, brows furrowed. “Whatever’s awaiting us, it should lead to Genesis.” 

“There’s no sign of other people here,” PHANTOM MERCY murmurs. Despite the divinity and glory of the land, there seemed to be no other sign of life in existence. What an oddity. 

ATLAS VOID is the boldest, walking forward first "well let’s find out, we can kill whatever stands in our way.” 

“Have you ever seen divinity like this?” THREE EYED OMEN asks ANGEL OF TERROR. He looks at them as if this was nothing out of the ordinary, keeping quiet as he observed. 

“It smells like death...” MASTER OF DEATH murmurs, following rather reluctantly behind. 

CHILD OF FLAMES snickers, “doesn’t everything smell like the dead? Could be a good thing.”

RAZOR FIST and KING OF DROUGHT stand apart from each other, walking behind the rest of the group. 

“There used to be stories like this,” BLOOD THIEF recalls. 

“Castles in the sky, I thought it was myth,” LITTLE MISS RED repeats the words again and again. 

They continue to walk through the woods and the sun never seems to drop from the sky. It isn’t long before they arrive at a beautiful clearing where there’s nothing but a vast field of sunflowers. “There’s something out there,” MOON BLADE announces to the rest of the group, pointing her finger in the direction of what appeared to be a dot in the horizon. “Looks like a house ... or a hut ... or a castle,” DEMON EATER murmurs.

Reservations must be made at least 24 hours before the official deadline and will only extend an additional day ( instead of Saturday submissions, it will remain open for Sunday. )
