Dez Bryant: Dallas Cowboys Legend
On April 13, 2018, receiver Dez Bryant was waived by the Dallas Cowboys 🤠
Bryant was selected by Dallas in the first round of the 2010 draft and was considered one of the league's best receivers for several years - Dez made the All-Star Game three times and led the NFL in receiving touchdowns (16) during the 2014 season.
During his career with Dallas (2010-2017), he surpassed all other NFL receivers in receiving touchdowns (73) and became the best in team history in that span.
However, the player's final years in Dallas were marred by injuries - he missed a combined 10 games in the 2015 and 2016 seasons, and though he spent the 2017 season in full, he failed to gain 1,000 receiving yards and only 6 touchdowns. Because of the large contract, Dallas let the player go.
Bryant signed with the New Orleans Saints, but tore his Achilles in the preseason and missed two years. He made Baltimore's practice squad for the 2020 season and even made 6 receptions in the regular season, but that was it. Dez's career essentially ended when he was just 29 years old.
