UM! gosh idk where to start with these two…

they’re kinda enemies/rivals initially? it’s a lil complicated jgvshd but uuh. sun and moon themed mages ! in a world where almost everyone can use a base amount of magic and enhance/add on to that by drawing power from different celestial bodies in the solar system, and some people use their magic to help or hurt people. typical superhero universe fare for the most part

kevin uses sun magic [rare, difficult to master, very powerful. main reason he can master it at all is because it’s also the kind of magic his bio mum used, which is a whole Thing. base magic comes from the soul, the soul connects to ur loved ones, celestial magic enhances soul magic, ergo it’s notably easier for a child to learn the same kind of celestial magic as their parent[s] or ppl they grew up around over any other kind. i’m still kinda figuring out the magic system] raphael uses moon magic [also rare and powerful, pretty much exclusive to the cult he grew up in because of the leaders of said cult either hoarding or destroying all records of it to keep it for themselves and their followers] and the third main character who is not here, jude, uses earth magic [pretty common, she’s mostly just a healer and uses being a superhero as a way to hang out with kevin because they’re besties and it’s something he’s rlly passionate about. helping ppl is a bonus]. you can probably guess who is who just by their hair colour LOL

anyways. these two specifically. when they’re still enemies, raphael’s whole job is tracking down vulnerable people to either indoctrinate into this moon cult or [more rarely] kidnap for the leader to use as sacrifices to the moon [tho it’s more a show of power to keep the followers in line], and kevin spends a lot of time trying to get through to him that he really just does not have to be doing all that. but raphael does not listen for the longest time because he’s been raised to distrust outsiders, obviously

but eventually kevin manages to find the right combo of words that gets raphael to start questioning things, even if only a little at first. but yk, stuff kevin and jude have said starts clicking together and adding up until eventually raphael questions mother moon [cult leader] directly about something and he ends up being almost killed for it, but manages to escape into the city the story is set in and mother moon lets him go because moon assumes he’ll probably die without moon anyway

and then kevin and jude find raphael unconscious bleeding out in an alleyway somewhere and decide to keep him <3 but like actually jude heals him and they take him somewhere safe until he wakes up and explains what hapoened. so they keep him and decide to help him learn how to be like, an actual person who allows himself to have thoughts and feelings and such. BUT! and this is the fun part. raphael is very uncomfortable making decisions for himself and because kevin is the main person who got him out of the very shitty situation he was in, he gets Very attached to kevin. like yeah he starts slowly doing things himself and making his own choices and becoming more independent over time, but he’s basically replaced his dedication for his old life with a dedication to kevin [and somewhat jude by extension, but it’s not quite as intense]

and kevin has Mixed Feelings about this but he figures it’s mostly fine and will probably settle into something more normal eventually?? raphael just has to learn to chill. so kevin doesn’t really discourage or encourage it. and he likes the attention he gets from this big buff pretty boy [jude starts questioning kevins judgement at this point but it’s fine] and it does kinda even out once raphael gets some proper mental help but that doesn’t happen for a long while so in the meantime they get to be weird about each other with their attachment and abandonment issues and such yaaay

hey just a psa, if you use clip studio paint and have an account on the assets store + have uploaded materials to it, and you get a site dm like this

ignore it. it’s a phishing scam.

i never click on links in random messages regardless and this one looks very obviously suspicious, but i still felt the need to go double check this, mostly to see if i was the only person who got it, and i saw a few posts from the clip studio ask page over the past couple days asking if it was real, and one person who had actually tried to send their bank card info [you can see on this one that the wording in the dm is slightly different and it’s from a different account, that i assume was suspended, and there’s more in the replies that show other usernames/alt wording]

if there are ever any issues with your account or uploads, celsys/csp admin will email you directly, and they won’t ask for your bank card information of all things to verify your identity. i’ve had materials be taken down or hidden for violating the site tos before [sometimes in ways that i don’t understand, but i digress] and i’ve always just gotten an email about it. they’re probably not gonna be using the site dm system for official contact

never ever click on anything that’s asking for your bank info, identification, or login info/passwords unless you are 100% sure you know where that information is going and what’s being done with it. that’s like, internet safety 101, but doesn’t hurt to be reminded o7

i’ve been wanting to make life series stickers for a While but have been struggling on what those would actually Look Like, and then i remembered i’ve bought stickers that looked like characters as little teddy bears before and figured i’d take some inspo from that! so i started with these 3 because i’m me and i had to do a group with jimmy and joel, and i wasn’t gonna leave grian out <3 eventually i wanna have base + one alt design for every character [these being the alt designs for these guys] but this is a good start i think
