well i was thinking about what that’d look like for UA:

i imagine the account is run by a trio of incredibly jaded third year non-heroics courses students who’ve all agreed to drop out together to work at kfc if they can’t make it to graduation

we as a society need to talk more about fuyumi.

Dabi knew about Tomura all this time and he knew what type of lie AFO sold to him, a lie about family and power and revenge, a lie about being in control, and knowing all of that he called Tomura his boss.

Dabi, who is constantly reminding everyone he controls himself and does whatever he wants, took a look at Tomura and decided to give him respect and trust. He followed his orders and followed his example and even knowing the power AFO had over Tomura, and even while implying Tomura was nothing but a puppet, he went and made Tomura his leader.

And in return, Tomura placed his complete trust on Dabi, constantly asking for his help in important missions, giving him nomus, letting him decide if any recruit was worth it, letting him do as he wanted... Dabi offered Tomura some control over him and Tomura just gave it back right away.

I've had this idea in my head for almost a month…

I'm gonna say it again, but there's not other Dabi ship doing it like Shigadabi.

Any other ship, Dabi has to explain himself, his past and trauma, and he's not even sure the other person would get him. But not Tomura.

Dabi doesn't have to explain how is like being around Ujiko and AFO, or how it feels to go through a surgery that changes your entire body, or how it feels knowing he almost ended up as a nomu, or how it was to live in a house with an abusive father who thought he was doing what was right and an abused mom who was trying to survive each day.

Dabi doesn't have to talk about living alone on the streets, how it is to remember your siblings, how it was to be awake while your whole word fell apart and your body slowly betrayed you, the quirk you was so waiting making you a monster and not a hero.

He doesn't have to explain to Tomura how it feels to deal with chronic pain, to be unable to eat without feeling nauseous sometimes, how the hatred and rage and bitterness and loneliness can destroy you, or how can you stay trapped in a memory of your childhood, or how it's like to lose years of your life to amnesia.

Getting your hair white, getting the scars, nobody listens to you, nobody believes in your abuse, seeing the person who abused you the most or the hero who totally failed you being celebrate on tv, knowing you can't be normal, being stripped out of your identity, believing you deserve what's coming and you deserve to suffer and you're a monster so why shouldn't they perish with you.

The reason why Shigadabi slaps, it's because no other ship clicks as hard in recognition. What you lived, I've lived. What you've suffered, I've suffered. We are the two lone survivors, we can't explain, we could never explain, but I don't have to even try to explain it to you.

And it makes me go feral.

Katsuki:

Katsuki: ...‘but’??

Todoroki: No I still think that.

Katuski:

Todoroki, being elbowed in the side by Uraraka: alright fine fine you'll do.

Something inside me wants Dabi and Shouto to sit awkwardly after their big fight, both beat up and emotionally wrung dry, and Shouto desperately wants to say something but he is blue-screening right now and ends up blurting out "How do you like your noodles?"

And after Dabi stares at him like he's lost his mind for too long and Shouto realises 'oh right, context' he explains he wants to eat noodles with Dabi. So how does he like them. "I like cold soba best, but if you like hot udon better I can eat it with you. It's no problem."

And Dabi is still really confused and baffled over how they went trying to burn each other alive to talking about noodles, but whatever, he's really fucking tired, so he answers honestly. "I don't really like noodles."

And Shouto feels his world crack a little because what. How can you not like noodles.

He doesn't like the texture, Dabi explains. Kinda same reason he doesn't like fish. And noodles have been a staple in the Todoroki household so Shouto asks 'since when??' and Dabi replies 'always?' Even as a kid he didn't like it. But bringing it up didn't stop either from appearing at the dinner table regularly, so he stopped.

Shouto is still processing this new information but manages to get out "Then we'll get whatever you want."

"Why do you want to eat something with me so bad?"

"Because."
