The slow progress to USB-C
When I gradually started to realise the promise of USB-C I began to dream of a time where I had *just one* charging cable for all my stuff.
Sadly this has not yet come to pass, but I do edge ever closer (unlike my wife who has been living the single cable life for a while now thanks to Apples Lightning connector).
So far my phone (Pixel 1, yes 1) and headphones support USB-C, and my work laptop. Sadly my 1st gen Apple Mini is still stuck with Lightning and my personal laptops are trapped with their own propriety connector.
Much as I would love too, I don't think getting USB-C is enough of a justification to upgrade (either of) my laptops and an iPad Pro is simply out of the question.
Still my quest for the single cable charging solution continues.
