Hey y'all it's been a hot minute since I posted a personal update some of yall know that i recently had to have a CT scan and a EGD done due to stomach issuses ive had an well from the results of both conclude that i have an acute fatty liver, esophagitis, and a acute hidal hernia not sure about the biopsy results yet also found out that im allergic to chloraprep, adhesive on tacaderm and clear medical tape so that has been my adventure this week.

A/N: This is my entry for Ang’s 1K Celebration! @atc74​ Congrats Ang! My prompt was a line from one of my fave songs, “We’ve Got Tonight” by Bob Seger. It’s in bold.

It was late. Or possibly it was early. It really depended on how you looked at it and on which side of sleep you found yourself. All you knew as you walked up the hill towards the Bunker entrance was, the sun hadn’t come up yet so there was a good chance you would find your friend tucked into a big, dusty book in the library.

The bar had been a bust. You’d gone out in search of a few drinks and a strapping lad to spend the night with. The drinks you had definitely found, in large quantity, but the choices on the male front had been less that appealing. After the fourth not so nice guy had grabbed your ass on the dance floor, you’d given up and set off back home. For some reason you couldn’t get your key to fit into the lock on your car, so you decided that walking was a better idea. It was a long walk back and most of it uphill, but the air was fresh and warm and you were drifting in a cloud of drunken happiness, swinging your arms and dancing most of the way home in the dark.

You were still feeling a little frisky though, and thoughts of the younger Winchester blossomed in your tequila soaked mind about all the ways you could release some tension with him. OK, so you’d never done more than flirt with Sam, but he was hot, and you were hot, maybe tonight you could be hot together. Hell, it was worth a shot.

It had been 38 and one half hours since Sam had kissed you. It wasn’t as if you were keeping track of every second since that moment, but you were. It hadn’t been the fairy tale, magical first kiss you always thought it would be, but it was amazing nonetheless. It had been sloppy and adrenaline infused, and left you wondering if it had actually happened.

There had been times over the years when the playful touches and sibling-like fighting had gone a little too far and resulted in lingering looks and strategically placed hands, but never had you broken through the friend barrier with him. Never had you given life to the dreams that kept you company at night, or the desires that heated your core.

Sam Winchester was your friend, your companion, your co worker; a teacher and a hero, everything and anything you needed him to be. He was your guiding light, your moral compass, your shoulder to cry on, and the strength you needed to carry on.

He was also just as broken, crazy, sorrowful, and hopeless as you were. There were times when the only thing keeping him going was the firm grip of your fingers on his arm, or the reassuring looks and tender words you’d offer. Through the darkness, Sam could always find you. You’d stayed by his side through the worst and never wavered in your friendship. He was there for you and you’d be there for him; no matter what.

Sam Winchester was also home. He was the constant in your life, the only person that made you feel at peace. And that’s why when his lips met yours on that frozen Monday evening in the empty cemetery, you shut down; terrified of what it would do to your relationship, scared to think of everything that could go wrong, but so excited to feel his lips on yours once more.
