just want to add onto this w my observations! because I recently got a can of this sent to me too.

first off: OP is right, this is legit one of the best cheddars I've had. it is SHARP and DRY though, almost like a parmesan, so if you're not looking for that in a cheddar you're gonna hate it.

it is HUGE: this baby is hefty and I froze it into 1/4 chunks to defrost as needed.

it is Not Shelf Stable: they package it in can bc it's the best way to store a cheese like this, but it needs to be refrigerated In Can. (and the can is big and will take up space in your fridge)

also, yeah, if you give people who want to learn access to the tools they need and tell them "make the best x you can" you end up with amazing products like this cheese. 10/10, absolutely gonna buy this cheese for my brother when I know he's capable of dealing with this big boy

use ground news to read unbiased news and find blind spots in news stories.

use mediahuman or cobalt to download music, or support your favorite artists directly through bandcamp

make youtube bearable by using mtube, newpipe, or the unhook extension on chrome, firefox, or microsoft edge

use search for a cause or ecosia to support the environment instead of google

use thriftbooks to buy new or used books (they also have manga, textbooks, home goods, CDs, DVDs, and blurays)

use flashpoint to play archived online flash games

find books, movies, games, etc. on the internet archive! for starters, here's a bunch of David Attenborough documentaries and all of the Animorphs books

burn your music onto cds

use pdf24 (available online or as a desktop app) instead of adobe

use unroll.me to clean your email inboxes

use thunderbird, mailfence, countermail, edison mail, tuta, or proton mail instead of gmail

remove bloatware on windows PC, macOS, and iOS X

remove bloatware on samsung X

use pixelfed instead of instagram or meta

use NCH suite for free software like a file converter, image editor, video editors, pdf editor, etc.

one of the most important things on the kingsgate server is that I made this awful emoji for :crucified: to communicate the flavor of suffering that could only be expressed by trying to combine pensive-cowboy with pensive-ass and something something pseudo sexual martyrdom and also he's arthur morgan and they didn't have nail emojis so i had to just give him a hammer

anyway I am eternally surprised that he's been embraced by the group and also here's the assless version for cowards bc when I put him by himself he was too big and scary and it scared me

Woke up today and thought about doing a comic about Godzilla and the entire comic appeared and played in my head. Spent 20 more minutes lying in bed thinking about dialogue and cutting a couple things. Should have thought more about paneling but things got better as I drew. A rare case of the comic quality going up over time! Haha

sometimes i fantasize about using the ai bots just to thumbs up the worst most heinous replies to do my best to unteach them everything. I could make a non-generative bot to just generate replies and give it thumbs ups if it finds "ass" in the text I could just send a giant pile of "this is good and accurate information" about shoving terrible things into your body

the whole thing is hosted on neocities and coded by my partner and you are all making their day by letting us link your comics!!!

I'll do a nice post for this later, but my partner made a site for finding and advertising webcomics after one of the other ones we'd been admiring got closed down. there's basically nothing on it (other than placeholders) rn bc they're firmly about making sure to have author consent/control over their own links!
