Having a traumatic childhood means you cannot talk even objectively about your basic foundational experiences without it being "venting", even if you're not actually venting. You just straight up have a huge chunk of your life you can't talk about, full stop, without it being trauma dumping.

And it not being socially acceptable to talk about your own childhood is super alienating. Sometimes people want to know why, and any answer you can give them is going to be off putting.

It's to the point I get irritated when something I said is framed as venting when I'm literally just talking about my life experiences, doing my best to keep emotion out of it.

Yes literally! Like, its more than just “i have tachycardia” My GI system doesnt work right dude. Digestion is either painfully (literally) slow or way too fast. My body cant tell if its moving or sitting still. I have to MANUALLY force my blood further up my body. Not to mention, its fucking expensive to have dysautonomia. Our bodies function like were intense athletes (rough comparison ik) So naturally most of our otc remedies are sold at a huge mark up to athletes and athletic culture spaces.

Bros- good compression socks (which we NEED) can coat upwards of $150 for a single pair. (good) Electrolyte powders are not cheap and we go through them at rates that the companies dont anticipate so it is hard to find any that last more than a week or two.

Dysautonomia/POTs IS a debilitating disorder.

i wish more people would understand, it is a disability.

“HBO’s” The Last of Us take

I honestly do like the series. The first season was a beautiful homage to the game. However, what gets me is all of the praise for the writing. What writing? Did they have to convert the game script into a more complete tv script? Yes. Did they write a beautifully unique story that they should be revered for? No. No they didnt. The heavy lifting was done already. Like yea good acting good directing but they didnt write shit?!
