It all started back in 2023. I was having a conversation with my friend about Lego city adventures and of course I couldn't shut up about how fINE Duke was. At that time, my love for Rex was at its prime and I just couldn't stop thinking about him even if I was in love with another character.

That was happening while I was talking about Duke, basically "Duke is so fine but Rex is so fine too.. wait-", and then:

I did a very cringe kind of spicy drawing of them, as a joke of course. It was all meant to be a joke haha funny crackship till 2024 started.

I came back to that stupid drawing again after months and couldn't get out of my mind "what if they were REALLY SERIOUSLY 100% together?". Of course, I'm a person who likes to force their friends to make them art /hj. So I just told my friend to draw them sometimes and so did I. That's how I started to get even more attached to it to the point it wasn't a joke anymore.

I got so invested in their relationship and started making theories and headcanons and tiny oneshots of their relationship.

I just LOVE the idea of two characters who have problems with relationships developing a strong bond. They find in each other that safe place they needed or were looking for.

In LCA, We even see how Duke's dream was to have a partner, someone to give him company. In TLM2, Rex is always a lone wolf and we can see that fucked him up lol. So that's why I like about the ship. Rex is the partner Duke wanted and Duke is the partner Rex needed. Both with different personalities that can somehow complement the other, making each other even better together, helping each other with their struggles and and and andbdjd Adna dnRAHAARARAAAAHAHAHAGSUCLCWBWN!!2!2!2!2!$!$

In conclusion. It all started as a joke and now they're my everything.
