This is my minotaur viking, Brogmir, who I’ll be playing in a local game I found last week. It’s been far too long since I’ve played D&D in the meatspace.

I spent way more effort on this portrait than anything I’ve done in the past; this is my first time playing around with full background work and all. I think it came out pretty well, there’s definitely a few ways in which my reference image shows through (I’m sure half of you can guess what that is just based on some of the specific designs).

My current character, Volgo Grobach'ar, The Half-Blood, was recently violently killed via brain aneurism by everyone’s favorite Vampyr overlord, Strahd Von Zarovich. Luckily enough he was resurrected, but I decided to take the opportunity to re-spec him from a Profane Soul Blood Hunter into a Hexblade Warlock, which fit quite nicely into his backstory. I wanted to show off one of the only pieces of art I’ve actually finished in the last year…. after scrapping, redesigning, and “finishing” it three times prior.

Anyway, this is Volgo’s cursed sword Chickadee, given to him by Bel, Lord of Avernus. Oh, and it happens to contain the soul of his daughter, Agatha.

For some reason the only thing I'm compelled to draw anymore is weird, unflattering caricatures of myself, but this one I was at least compelled to clean up and color, so theres that.
