my oldest oc who has barely changed since his inception almost exactly 11 years ago... sparkle my beloved Awful Child (that's a lie she's a sweet kid)

What are any of your blorbs doing if a child is fear strucken in the water. No boat or anything near by, just a kid and their floaties.. frozen in place.

This mini comic answers it for Tide. He'll swiftly take them to the nearest humans, be it on boat or docks. Which logically wouldn't be very far. Might rub them on the back soothingly so they're not freaking out more, but he wouldn't be chatting with them; he'd save his frustrated complaints for the adults. xD

Gorm would have a lot of questions. Why is this small human out here? The poor kid would probably get even more terrified as they're handled by a large octopus arm. And Gorm would fail to realize that the kid's scared. Unless they start crying. Then he'll know cause he's learned that much. He struggles with reading our body language and facial expressions are too small. But he'll show his friendly blue bioluminescence and give his signature ":3" smile in either case. He would try to look at the floaties too, being a curious creature. The kid would eventually be returned to their fellow humans.

Keiki would try and calm them down as he approaches with soft chirps and whistles, offering a little smile. Even if they're still scared, he'll scoop them out of the cold water, knowing humans lose temperature quickly. He'd try to not overwhelm them (and would like to keep them in his sight) so he'd opt to place them on his nose while he swims to the closest humans, cooing softly all the while.

Merry is able talk with the kid so they have an advantage! Talking and asking questions to calm them down. And then of course get them to shore safely. They'd sing for them too on their little journey. ;)

Just mentioning the characters that could possibly en up in this scenario. Like Cetus is stuck in his bay. Runt would need rescuing too if he was out in the middle of the ocean: thalassophobia would strike him hard lol!
