World Building for the lil Original comic/novel thing I’m doin’!

These little pests are Terrestrial Garden Eels. They have very small, glass-like teeth that aren’t good for chewing and so swallow their food whole. They survive on a diet of fruit and bugs.

The young ones have a bad habit of swallowing too big pieces of fruit, essentially trapping themselves above ground as they can’t fit into their burrows. Occasionally, they will even get tipsy from eating fermenting fruit laying on the ground.
