Things I wish someone had told me before losing a lot of weight with an ED
-Invest in a quality vitamin E oil: if you have 40+ pounds to lose, you may start to notice loose skin the harder you restrict. Rub vitamin E oil on your body at night to help your skin elasticity, and it even helps fade any scars/stretch marks that were already there.
-Fit salmon and seafood ANYTIME YOU CAN into your daily intake. Salmon has omega 3 fatty acid and DHA, a 200 calorie filet gives your body so many more nutrients than a handful of chips or cereal. DHA has been shown to decrease depression, boost mood, increase brain function and improve cell renewal (something that’s really important when you’re not getting enough calories/vitamins from diet alone)
-You can lose 2 pounds overnight but still look 4 months pregnant the next morning- I wish someone had explicitly told me that while sparkling waters and diet soda hold almost 0 (if not actually 0) calories, the carbonation and sodium can make you look puffy and extremely stomach bloated. Stick to plain water and green tea when you can.
-Don’t beat yourself up when you stop losing weight as quickly as you did the first few weeks of restricting. This goes without saying for weight loss, but the smaller you get the harder it is to lose the weight- a sentiment I think EVERYONE needs a reminder of. Even if you used to be able to lose 5 pounds a week, try not to stress when it takes a few days or even a week just to get a pound off. Vary your calories to keep your metabolism moving, and trust in the process. Good things take time.
-Invest in a natural, nourishing and clarifying face mask (I switch between Cosmetic Warrior and Mask of Magnaminty by Lush). When you restrict your calories your body loses nutrients, and your skin is more prone to breakout from these deficiencies or hormone imbalances. Especially in winter, using a mask like Cosmetic Warrior can be extremely helpful to prevent bacteria buildup on your skin since it doesn’t see much of the sun. The garlic in the mask is an antiseptic, and the tea tree oil is very soothing- but go with whatever works for you!
-Coconut oil, coconut oil, coconut oil. Use coconut oil for oil pulling around your teeth. When you restrict, your teeth aren’t protected by as much saliva, and become very prone to drying and enamel loss (leads to cavities). Swish 1tsp of coconut oil around your teeth for 15 minutes to remove plaque and debris, and don’t eat or drink for 30 mins afterwards. Use coconut oil as a makeup remover, since your skin will be more delicate and chemical makeup remover wipes can dry it out. Use coconut oil on the ends of your hair when still damp from the shower. Restricting can dry out hair and make it more brittle, coconut oil helps restore moisture and keeps ends from splitting
-You WILL be cold, and you WON’T be able to avoid it. I always thought this was a thing for anas who had barely any body fat and were in the 100 pound or less region, but even after losing just 20 pounds, I get (and stay) wayyyy colder than everyone else around me- even to the point of having to wear hoodies in classes/stores with air conditioner.
-You’re going to get a LOT of attention from people you know when you hit or get near your goal weight- most of it will be positive (to your face), but other people will become uncomfortably interested in your diet, wanting to know how you lost the weight, what you eat, how often, any exercise, etc. Be prepared to have answers that won’t cause any red flags.
-Some days you won’t be able to stop looking in the mirror admiring how much weight you’ve lost/how different you look, and other days you’ll feel like the scale is lying because you’ve got fat all over and you look the same as you did when you started. Our brains are one hell of a wild card, and you never know when body dysmorphia decides to join the party.
Hopefully this helps someone out there dealing with disordered eating/thinking, these things aren’t meant as tips or tricks to trigger anyone but are meant instead as little ways you can help improve your quality of life when struggling with an ED 🖤

I wanna scream this at the top of my lungs because no one understands how deep the self hatred goes and they all just wanna say get over it learn to love yourself and live life but they have no idra how hard that is
It's really hard to date or go out when you completly and absolutely hate yourself. It's not just my body I'm worried about or my weight. If it was just that I'd have it way easier. It's my big crooked nose. It's my hooded, tired and dull eyes. It's my big pores. It's my acne. It's my teeth. It's my unflattering smile. It's my scars. It's my personality. It's my laugh. It's my voice. Its my stretch marks. It's my bacne. It's my lips. It's me. I hate me and I don't want to think about existing in someone else's life because I already don't like existing in mine. This never ending self hatred will be the death of me.

Gonna use the 5 day no meat one
So lots of people wanted to hear the tips my teacher shared; here ya go
To lose weight overnight, he has his team skip dinner and lunch, and wear as much as possible, he said he had had cases where they would wear heavy snowsuits and duck tape the openings of the legs and arms, and then wear shirts upon shirts and pants underneath to sweat everything out. He uses this method for people who need to drop pounds overnight
If u are hungry he says to suck on a lemon, because the acid of the lemon has the same effect of brushing teeth, u don’t want to eat afterwords because of it’s intensity of taste
He has his athletes go 5 days STRICTLY eating only fruits and veggies. This makes ur body immediately worry, and think ok great but where’s the protein, where’s the meat? To compensate, ur body starts taking meat from the body, the fat. The 6th day, he has all of them have a big stake dinner(for vegetarians he makes alterations, really just a big protein filling meal). This wakes ur body up as if it’s saying oh great back in track, but no. You don’t stop there, u do the same thing again, and more fat can be lost. It’s basically tricking ur body into taking off flesh off ur body,
He says cardio is great, but to burn more calories and fat, strength training is key
He says to cut out sugar and focus on whole food groups
His training consists of: 15-20 min of running laps, then they stretch and do a circuit, ropes, bar with no weight(just the bar of it), lots of lunges, jumps, and just normal strength training stuff
Definitely invest in a sweatsuit, he says that a large percentage of people are water weight
Stretching is key
He has people go no more than a day and a half without eating to drop, In Order to sustain a good metabolism
He makes it a rule that no one on the team is allowed to have food at practice or on the bus or anything, because of the temptations of people cutting. So just try to distance urself from food
Plan ur day around activities, not food; so like, wake up, shower, go to school, stay after school to study and do homework, go home, shower, clean room, etc etc etc
It’s most effective to work out/train with some kind of mentor, so I suggest talking to ur gym teachers, or coaches in ur school,

Enneagram Childhood Wounds
Type 1: These children felt heavily criticized, punished, or not good enough. Household rules may have felt inconsistent. As such they became obsessed with being good/not making mistakes to avoid condemnation. The principle message was: “You must always be better than you are.”
Type 2: These children felt loved only if they were helping or pleasing others, their personal needs felt selfish. As a result they closed off their own needs and feelings and tuned into those of others. Love became defined as giving to others - though the love often didn’t feel received or reciprocated.
Type 3: To the heart - These children felt rewarded only for what they did and how well they did it. their feelings were discounted and ignored, only their performance and what was expected of them mattered. This harmed their ability to love themselves and others. Admiration replaced real love.
Type 4: These children felt abandoned by one or both caretakers. They felt alone, cut off from the source of love for reasons they couldn’t understand. They were not “seen” or mirrored, and felt different from their parents. As a result, they turned inward to their feelings and imagination to cope in isolation.
Type 5: These children received no meaningful interaction, emotion, or affection from caretakers. Or, the child had intrusive, over-controlling parent(s) and felt exposed and defenseless in the face of this intrusion. As a result, they built walls around themselves and retreated to the mental realm.
Type 6: To the trusting nature. These children were raised in an unpredictable situation with no safe place to go. They lost faith they would ever be protected. As such, they turned to their own inner defense of doubting, disbelieving reality and rejecting their own instincts/inner guidance.
Type 7: These children were deprived of nurturing, or it was too-soon removed. They handled this lack by searching for distractions to minimize/repress fear and pain. They decided to focus on positive options and rely on themselves to fulfill their desires and gain a sense of nurturance.
Type 8: These children often grew up in an unsafe environment (emotionally and/or physically) and had to mature way too soon. They didn’t feel safe to show any vulnerability, and may have felt controlled. Weakness was used against them, so they focused only on building their strength.
Type 9: To the gut, the core of being. These children were overlooked or neglected and felt unimportant or “lost.” They were ignored/attacked for having needs or expressing themselves (especially anger) and decided to keep a low profile and instead focus on the needs/experience of others.
