YES the Thunderbolts have a fantastic team as family dynamic, yes they are living in Avengers tower, yes history is repeating itself and 2012 tower fics are so back. BUT!

instead of "Alexei eating poptarts" or "Yelena in the vents", we must come up with new headcanons and make history

Bob always does normal domestic chores, often getting in the way of important missions and spy business. "All I'm saying is Bucky is our best sniper" "It would be a much quieter assassination if I just slipped into the condo and cut his—" "Hey sorry guys, anyone have laundry? I'm doing a load"

Yelena and her guinea pig always eat meals together at the dining table. Everyone has their Chinese food or barbeque, meanwhile the rodent is loudly munching on a salad right beside them

Bucky is the mom and always keeps them on track. "Ava you have a dentist appointment in the morning, and bring Bob so they can add him to the insurance. Lena how was therapy? Alexei, I said no vodka until dinner"

Alexei is always coming up with new promotional ideas for the team. Cartoon tv show, cereal, toothpaste flavour...every day he thinks he's come up with the next big thing. Whenever they actually get put into production (Wheaties) he collects and saves it, and won't let anyone use a different product. (He threw out Yelena's frosted flakes and it took both Bucky and John to get her to stop attacking him)

Ava likes to phase and sneak attack her teammates at random. She claims it's for training but really she just thinks it's funny hearing them scream

John gets blamed for everything, even if it isn't his fault. Especially if it isn't his fault: "who ate the last bagel?" "John." "Where's my hair straightener?" "John had it." "Whose turn is it to unload the dishwasher?" "Johnnnn"

tmr fic idea that takes place during the groups visit to the crank palace in search for newt in the death cure book. Just after leaving newt they are chased by a group of cranks past the gone, what if they never managed to get back into the berg and instead they are trapped inside the palace? Imagine newt, who loves his friends and doesn't want to see them hurt but at the same time is struggling with his sanity, hearing about it and deciding to protect them and help them escape even though he wants to separate himself from the people he loves the most because he is becoming a crank

So I was just reading an article about curious facts about Tom Hardy and I just discovered that his name isn't actually Tom?!?! His real name is Edward Thomas Hardy, and you know whose name is also Edward? Freaking Eddie Brock... or should I say Edward Brock?

Every time, every single time I discover more about Tom Hardy I end up finding more things he has in common with Eddie

I was reading about Eddie on the marvel wiki and I loved the last notes

First of all Eddie likes Frank Sinatra, like, can you imagine him and venom listening to some of his love songs or even maybe slow dancing together

the reason why ao3 is superior in every way to wattpad is that you know EXACTLY what you’re getting yourself into through the the tags. with wattpad you’re just straight up going in blind and don’t even know how many words it is ??? tf??

things I wish I’d known when I started writing fic on ao3

use & for friendships, colleagues, familial relationships and use / for romantic or sexual relationships (or encounters)

not everyone reads fic. Lots of people use screen readers, and screen readers can’t see what’s on images. use descriptive text to help them out.

lots of people download fic to read on other devices, not all downloads capture images too.

there’s a big difference between No Archive Warnings Apply (NAWA) and Author Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings (CNTW). NAWA means that there’s nothing in the fic that needs to be warned for using the official Archive Warning system. CNTW means there might be something that requires a warning and the author is either avoiding giving out spoilers or they are unsure how to interpret their plot point with respect to the official Warnings. (in both cases, additional tags are where it’s at - you can explain yourself there) 

the reason why the number of bookmarks in the fic is different from the number of bookmarks on your stats page is because your stats page number includes bookmarks that are hidden

there’s a preference setting where you can receive emails with your own comments/replies.

there’s a site skin that hides stats so you don’t have to see them

writing in rich text format makes my life easier

knowing html allows me to do fun things in the comments section like comment/reply with reaction gifs

knowing html also allows me to do interesting formatting in my fics that I can’t do with rich text alone

those little blue bubbles with the question marks in them will answer my questions a lot of the time - and also teach me something new

the FAQ is linked under the word About in the header

if you write your fic in the draft window, you might end up losing it so make sure you copy the text before you hit Post, just in case

- So most Apollo kids are each caught up in their own thing and try to bond with Nico via their interest. Kayla takes him to the shooting range, Austin does music stuff, etc... Will has to have a cabin meeting and be like “have any of you even asked what he likes to do?” And they just are sitting there like “well, no, but he does medicine stuff with you so back off”

- it has been decided Will is Nico’s favorite (for obvious reasons), but second favorite is an open position and it’s a ruthless competition to see who it is. Nico has no idea what’s happening and is kinda too scared to ask.

- Apollo kids can be an odd mix of incredibly kind, kinda self-absorbed, and hardcore ride or die. I.e. if they love you then everyone else has to and this is not a debate. Nico learns this the hard way when a new camper calls him weird and the entire Apollo cabin collectively loses their shit.

- Apollo visits after his bout with mortality and now he’s at his cabin like “four...five...six... why am I missing one? I - WHERE IS NICO?!?!” and Will is just sitting there like “Dad, he has his own cabin” and Apollo is kinda thrown out of a loop bc even though that makes sense he kinda just figured he took an extra bunk in his cabin. When he says as much suddenly all the Apollo kids are just “WAIT HE CAN STAY HERE?!?!” And now Apollo owes both Hades and Chiron an apology for causing a mini-cabin revolution.

- They give Nico ENDLESS blackmail on Will. Literally any embarrassing knowledge they have on their brother is being shared. Nico loves it.

- Unfortunately for him, they also blackmail Nico too. Mainly is terms of “you will do this thing with me or else I’m telling Will you shadow travelled to South America to fight a random god with no medical supplies” and Nico is just “I didn’t even do that???” But it kinda doesn’t matter bc he has reputation and every other Apollo kid will back this lie up.

(Side note: Apollo kids tend to have an ability to detect a lie fairly easily bc their dad is the god of truth, so Will would definitely know that isn’t true... but nobody intends to tell Nico this)

- Nico is just so fond of them all and tries to hide it, but fails miserably bc he gets soft. Kayla breaks her hand and is sobbing bc she thinks she won’t be able to do archery ever again, so Nico hugs her as Will fixes her up.

- Austin feels like nobody likes his music so Nico comes and listens and lists all the things he likes about it.

- Somebody makes fun of Jerry so he asks if he would like Nico to beat them up (as Will beats them up in the background).

- New campers think he’s just the black sheep of the Apollo cabin until they see Will and Nico together are like “OHHHHH that makes much more sense”

- Gracie and Nico paint each other’s nails

- Yan is a Mythomagic Stan and Nico gives him all his old playing cards and figurines (well, the ones he didn’t burn). When I tell you Yan swears his entire soul to Nico right then and there... This act alone also makes Yan his second favorite, but he won’t ever tell anybody this.

- A few of them get annoyed when Hazel comes to visit bc obviously Nico wants to see his sister, which means less time with them. Will has to hold a cabin meeting like “not everything is about you and he’s my boyfriend so calm down and let him hang out with Hazel”

But then Hazel also wins them over, so now Hades is calling Apollo up like “GIVE ME MY KIDS BACK” and Apollo is just there like “I have a new kid?? Who from my cabin is Hazel dating? IS IT KAYLA?!!? Omg pls tell me Hazel and Kayla are dating! They would be SO cute-”

- Anytime Nico sees anything he thinks one of them might like he buys it for them. Will always complains bc he says Nico spoils his siblings, but Nico has absolutely no intention on stopping.

- It should be noted that Nico is not exempt from teasing though. Especially regarding dating Will. Often times, Will and Nico find themselves being followed on dates so that the cabin can ‘chaperone’ which really just means they get peanuts thrown at them as they try to hangout.

- Kayla will get Nico to wear color if it is the last thing she ever does. Nico will get her to wear black if it is the last thing he ever does. Austin says he would just like them both to wear something a little more put together.

- They’ve also kinda adopted Meg since she was Apollo’s bestie on his adventures. This means when Nico and Meg meet in the Apollo cabin they’re just “Ah, so they’ve kidnapped you again, I see. Well, welcome back.”

- One of the younger Apollo residents colors a picture of their cabin and puts Nico in it and when they show him he totally doesn’t tear up (except he does)

- Solangelo gets married and the entire Apollo cabin asks to be part of both Nico and Will’s groom party. This is also a final ploy to see if they can get the title of best man/woman to solidify second-favorite status. Nico chooses Hazel, but it was a valiant effort lol.
