"So you collect ghosts?"
"Not intentionally. Ghosts are just drawn to me. I'm a ghost sponge. A ghost magnet. When I'm hired to check out a haunted house, I walk in and take all the ghosts with me when I leave. And if it turns out there's a demon the ghosts eat 'em. It's a very efficient system."
"...Say that last part again."
"The ghosts eat the demons. Like a pack of hyenas taking down a wildebeest. I've seen the ghost of a 90-year-old Ukrainian babushka tear apart a demon with her teeth."

As a Hulk, Jenifer Walters is near-invincible, so her enemies go after her helpless, blind civilian boyfriend.
*Five times Matt Murdock had to play superhero girlfriend + the one time he didn't.
Absolutely love when a character is forced to play damsel in destress despite being able to handle this themselves
Trapped by societal expectations if you will
He would hate it so much

Mand’alore Jango
*Wibbly wobbly time
*The Duchess and Mandalore is still alive
*So’s Jango Fett, and he’s the Mand’alore
Decided to go after Death Watch before the Jedi. His plan of attack just happened to involve him claiming his right to the tidal of Mand’alore inherited form Jaster Mireal. Since he’s there, might as well instate Jaster’s creed. I remember you so you are eternal everyone will remember him. His death was not in vain and his dream realized. Do right by his Tribe.
*Jango gives the warrior clans someone to follow who isn’t Death Watch; considering the other main option is pacifism, Jango’s faction get’s pretty popular. Like, really popular.
*Din leads them to Concord Dawn instead of fighting for Mandalore. Unpopular, but better than another civil war, and quickly proved to be more beneficial. Rebuilt warriors, armies, Houses. Concordia was damaged, but it can host farms and still has beskar.
*Agreement gets Concordia an independent planet, which it isn't directly under the Duchess. Warriors (under Din) call the pacifists Manda'tal. Or of Mandalorian blood, due to them being "mandalorian" by birth and blood; not creed. It's fairly neutral, usage depends on context, but mandalorians place little emphasis on blood-lineage, and they're not calling them Mando'ade. Derogatory is Tal'Mando, which doesn't even recognize them as Mandalorian adjacent- just related to a mandalorian.
*The Mando'ade remain neutral, bar open warfare but encourage Merc work so long as they do so with honor. Encouraged to hold one another accountable. He doesn't really punish for missteps, rather lets them face the natural consequences and adjust accordingly. He’s very sink of swim, which the Mandalorians appreciate. Generally they’re a self-governing people but with the republic-puppet-governmet then the cultural genoside, a loose hand is the most accepted form of leadership at the moment.
, so mandos start to stop hiding shame. Bear more towards the honorable warriors they were. Jango is ok with them taking work from whomever, but prefer, strongly, they stay away from sep-rep business. And if they do, only for work. And then, get written or recording of employment to confirm neutrality. Din wants to stay the hell out of the war (and is willing to protect others, outsiders, form it to the best of his abilities)
*Concordia is thriving where Mandalore starves. Concordia is largely self reliant, untaxed as religious grounds. They scooped up most of the allies and contracts Mandalore lost when it was declared passifit.
*When Concordia found out Mandalore was turning to black market, they sent relief packages. Food. And an upset message about how they should have told them if it was this bad. Duchess was like, we didn't think you liked us or something. They shoot back they wouldn't let foundlings starve. However he still leveraged that for Concordia, and the warrior’s, independence.
*Duchess doesn't like warriors. Don't trust them, think them barbaric and ruthless. Warriors think them dishonorable (locals had the Duchess sign a written agreement when determining Concord Dawn an independent system- they didn't trust her to keep her word). She gets Jedi involved, well Obi-Wan, bc fear deathwatch

Shinso has one for All
*But instead of superpower, he has black whips. Written up as a new branch of his quirk. Four big black tentacles that can be very destructive, or, subtle black tendrils that latch onto the target- or multiple targets- to manually infiltrate and control the body. His quirk is renamed puppeteer. And damn if it isn’t one hell of a quirk. Harder to break out of voice-brainwashing too. Has to be something that registers as “pain” not just a “physical sensation.” Doesn’t have to be big. A hard jolt or a slap might do it, but not simply bumping shoulders.
*Its incredibly op. Only problem is black whips is too strong. It breaks his arms. Pulls it four different ways, and it’s all or nothing. Splits his mind into however many tendrils he has at a time. Like 9th-Deku. Except Shinso doesn’t have cannon-Midoriya's intolerance. He ends up only using quirk when he needs it. Ok taking a loss for something not crucial, like battle trials. Has a part to do with the destruction. He has trouble controlling black whips, and they kinda destroy a room or latch onto anyone within radius; including allies.

Deep cover au
Luke and Leia were raised together, Padme didn't die.
*Luke's a Jedi and Naboo prince post-clone wars, which went on for much longer. Now, Naboo's got a lead/investigating the, massacre of one of their settlements. They got a lead; Mandalorians were there. Deathwatch was, at the time, destroying villages to “acquire” children. Later there are whispers the mand’alore himself was there, before he was someone more than a Deathwatch trainee.
New Republic and mandalore are tense. Mandalore's recovering faster than them and growing far too strong for them to be comfortable, so they're looking for a reason to strike before it's not such a one way fight. Last time the Republic Mandalore they led a preemptive survive bombing. Trying to decide if they should strike first.
Justify it by going hard on this massacre angle. Naboo just wants to know what happened to her children. The Mandalore participated in a massacre, he was child, but he help cover it up and is still covering it up. At least they deserve reparations or acknowledgement, and how can they tolerate such a leader. Says the NR. But they need hard proof
*Young Jedi knight Luke goes undercover as himself. Well, him that wasn't a Jedi. The Naboo prince. Gone missing. Naboo puts out a bounty, makes sure it gets to the Mandalorians, claim to be in want of the best. Unintentionally gets picked up by the Mand'alore and tries to chat with him. Gets nothing, but by doing this many times he ends up offering to help with their reforestation efforts. Force sensitive, leaves out the part about Jedi, just Jedi aren't the only force users. Din admits mandalore has their own touched by the manda. This is a surprise. Luke also helps the sensitives learn while secretly checking on them. They learn primarily for senses and perhaps healing. Leave fighting for weapons. Actually pretty safe, dark side wise, the strict discipline makes or breaks it; though far less skilled than Jedi. NR has mixed feelings about it, few good. Order are not to worried, so long as they're not risk of turning.
*Luke ends up projecting feelings to Din to get him to open up. Ends up making him fall in love, unintentionally.
Din tells Luke about their fears with the preemptive bombardment, and Luke's like that makes sense. One intel down. "The Excursion." "The Annihilation," Din corrects. Excursion- like we were rotting flesh to be cut out. Luke argues they were being aggressive. Mando snaps back, the banking clan held a middle rim world under siege and the Republic sent negotiators. You claim it was about taxing the hyper lane; they carpet bombed our world to the point it's more glass than green. Then, they spent the next decade doing all they could to make sure we couldn't recover. But we did and the Republic's getting antsy again. Are we being aggressive?
*Luke turns Din over to be arrested. Set him up, but he doesn't fully process until he's up on trial and Luke's testimonies put him there. They spit at him with vicious glee. Naboo representatives stand cold and firm with ritchous anger. He realizes this is for war. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
"I was born in aqua verda." Dun. "When the droids came our village had no means to defend ourselves. They killed everyone. My parents used their body's as shields so I could last a few seconds longer." He's getting emotional but catches himself. "That's when the Mandalorians arrived." As for the "cover up" I'd tell you to ask the warriors who were there but I do not know of any other survivors. Then he gets up at leaves. A guard tries to stop him
*Luke meets him after, before he leaves, to apologize. "I know you've been messing with my head." I wasn't- I don't-. [Place where the projection was cut off briefly] I could feel something was off. But I still loved you. Luke projected calm and trust to get him to open up. Didn't mean to make him fall in love. "But you used it." "When you said you still loved me-" "I love my people too." Steps though the door. "(Divorce phrase). You're no good for any of us."
*Luke has to advise/debrief the Senate. (In form of him reminiscing with breaks in to him speaking to different settings). Speak of the Annihilation. How the Mandalorian remember the Mandalorian excursion. They grew too powerful too fast. Too bold. When they started taxing hyperlanes, their former allies led a preemptive, unwarned surface bombing in a war they could not hope to win.
Then there's the after. The [caretaker] government installed by the Republic, and puppet government that came after. The goal was to cripple the Mandalorians, wipe out their warrior culture, and it came right before the clone wars. And following genocide. It it a big regret. One they will not repeat." They won't surrender. "Morally, you must be prepared to wipe out an entire culture our allies." "In a logistical view, you must way the costs of facing a warrior people facing extinction." They do not want war, but given this, they're convinced we do. If that's not true, you must dissuade them of that, fast.

Matt isn't human
*Cambion
Demons are interdimensional beings
Demons wanted another gateway to achieve more power in human world
Bib. Couple has a threesome with demon. Demon Middle man for semen idk, demonology is weird
Daimon Hellstrom, aka Son of Satan, is that. A hero though, and renound demonologist. Team with defenders and Ghost Rider against demon possession
*Jack and Maddie want but can't have -or have but loose a baby-. One of them ends up making a deal with something unholy. It ends up adding guilt to a wrecked mind. Maggie tries to baptize the thing she brought into t’his world. He screams as the priest begins, as is normal. What wasn't, was the way he shrieked as the water kissed his skin–and ran into his eyes. it leaves him blind. Doctors say he had an allergic reaction to the oils, maybe something from the basin.
*It's what makes Maddie snap. Jack becomes devoted to making Matt good. Teaches him to be kind, chivalrous, use his head not fists, even sends him to church. His ginger hair grows darker and darker until it matched his mother's. Complete with her curls. His eyes, also blue like hers, but far too bright to be natural, grow into an amber not unlike his own. His baby looks like everything he'd imagined since the most important person in his life promised a second important person. He makes himself believe the water burned the devil from his boy; left only the good parts.
*Still gets hit by the truck. Super senses. Trained by Stick, (who no one else can see?). Jack doesn't die, but is beat so bad he'll never fight again. He struggles to find work; lives off Creed fight, disability, donations, goodwill, and whatever odd jobs Matty can snag. Had Matt taken by Social services a few times.
*Recovering from Midland circle; Maddie tells him. Tells him who he is to her, how he came to be.
{"What am I!?" He’d asks ghost rider}
He brings misfortune, pain, to everyone around him
*He has a breakdown. When he started hearing prayers he thought it was a mission from God. Now, realizes it's the tools of the devil. He takes back the "I'd rather die was Daredevil then live as Matt Murdock" skips straight to suicide. Inspires him to get back to Matt Murdock. He meets foggy for no alternative reasons. Trying so hard to stay out of DD. Foggy can tell he's not doing well. Matt tells Foggy what's up. Foggy realizes how bad it is, and tells him that the accident that gave him his senses had nothing to do with the devil
*dd joins an occult team with his older cuz. The Son of Satan; Daimon Hellstrom. (a real comic character not an OC. A former priest-hopeful and current occult expert, he’s pretty dedicated to fighting demons. However, seeing as his father, Satan, also impregnated a human woman as a means of gaining power I feel he might beagle to empathize a bit with Matty’s situation)
*Most people, even his teammates don't actually know if Daredevil’s occult or not. Citizens are fairly unsure. But then you get to those who interact with him, and they're even more unsure.
*Basically, you meet and think he's just a guy in a mask. Then he's weird and you start thinking he is demonic, especially after finding out about Son of Satan. But SoS, when asked, just says he's part of the team because he's resistant to possession and knows Hell's kitchen better than anyone. Plus, moon knight is also part and sometimes defenders and punisher gets involved. (Hawkeye tried once and just got so confused) and DD is majorly unhelpful. Plus, only believes in the devil as a concept of temptation or sin.
*Holy objects affect him different. He's got darksoul but also human soul and is a confirmed Catholic. Bc he's only half (and was made different that SoS) he has a natural resistance, powers or nah. Works as dual souls, where if one is weakened, i.e. bc human Matt is dying, other rises to fill the void. As darksoul takes over holy objects have more effect. Cross gets hotter.

*Izuku's quirk is teeth. Literally a mouth full of way too much teeth made of an unfamiliar material. Coupled with powerful jaws, Izuku can bite through basically anything.
*Based off that one panel of feral!Izuku biting through AFO's quirk.. we love a feral boy.
*Gender swapped, because we love a feral girl too. And there has to be a reason for Izuku to be outcast and based on other anime a girl who’s shy but not cute and has unladylike behaviors might be it.
*Mix in some anti- mutation quirk discrimination. In manga, those with mutation quirks or quirk attributes are seen as dirty, or deceivers (I think that was the translation). Izuku can more or less pass as "normal" if she keeps her mouth closed, so she's in the lucky spot to be discriminated against by bigots, and not-so supported by others with mutation quirks. Kinda doesn't fit in in either, though there are some in each group who accept her.
*Lil baby Izu-chan meets Gang Orca at a meet. Lil baby girl who stared so intently- but didn't smile once. Until the end. She walks up to him, stops a good distance away. And gives a bit toothy smile. Emphasis on the toothy. Gang Orca returns his own pointy -toothed grin.
*Izu gets flustered, runs and hides behind her mom. Peeks out from behind her legs. "Go on. This is Izu-chan". Kid gets an autograph, a photo, still to flustered to speak. The hero asks for a photo for himself, and Izuku gets flustered all over again. They get a really great selfie, Izu held up on held up on the hero's shoulder; both giving their biggest, toothyiest grins.
*It leaves such a positive experience Gang Orca posts it. And immediately delete it after the flood of nasty comments. Instead he posts a scalding, disappointed commentary.
*Izu-chan sends a letter. 'this wasn't the first time I've heard things like that. But it was the first time somebody stood up for me. Thank you hero Gang Orca!'
*Just Izu biting everything. That's the rest of the fic. She joins ua

*Mand’alor Din not fluent in Basic

*Discussion with some classist foreigner higher ups. They’re talking with him about the mandalorian tradition of adoption. Ask if they’re concerned about keeping the bloodline pure. DIn seems confused, turns to Bo Katan, who’s talking with someone else, and the armor, who confirms they said keep the bloodline exclusive to the upper class. Turns back. “Inbreeding?” [someone] spits drink. Bo whips around. The armor swoops in to clarify, misunderstood as the one percent breeding with only each other. Bo-katan steps in that, from an evalutionary standpoint, adoption diversified the gene pool. Strengthens the people.

Jack Murdock is the Devil. Literal Devil; or one version of him. Devil + nun = Matt. Matt thinks his dad's abilities are superpowers. Convinced he's a super hero. Convinces him to be a superhero so Matt can too
Seducing a nun was part of the plan. Producing a kid was not. Doesn't know how to break the knees he's technically the anti Christ
When jack was shot he obviously didn't die. Stood there and let the Devil out, put the fear in them. Well Matt heard and came running, when the mob started running away they saw Matty and shot him instead.
Jack loves his son. After the incident he had him wrapped around his little finger
Because Matty thought he was a super hero, jack had to put on the spandex. It's just punishing sinners, that's basically what he's been doing
What I thought this: https://archiveofourown.org/works/19975393 was going to be

Mothman Quirk au
Izuku has a disaster-attractive quirk. That is to say he’s drawn to potential disasters.
Can cause others to see visions related to an upcoming catastrophe, but cannot see him himself. Because his targets don’t typically have an inherent tolerance for seeing the future, their mind breaks it into flashes, or sometimes parts of a vision, so their mind can safely process it.
He himself is drawn to what can only be described as the kinetic energy of a tragedy. Bigger the event, the stronger the pull, but once the event has occurred, or rather once it’s reached its climax, the pull is gone. Gravitates towards the scene of disaster.
He’s learned he can't stop what’s going to happen- he’s tried talking to heroes, to anyone, but they just think he’s crazy and try to lock him up. Before he can convince them otherwise he’ll get another pull, one he can’t answer, and lose his head and his chance of persuading them- he can, however, minimize damage.
If he can warn someone else. Get someone without a rap to believe him and warn others. Unfortunately if he sticks with the same person too long, people either get suspicious or his ally suffers the mental toll of being exposed to repeated tragedies on an intimate level.
Others aren’t built to process glimpses into the future? Neither’s Izuku. He’s built to deliver visions and chase the subject of said visions. With four solid wings; the lower pair equipped with bioluminescent markings that hypnotize his target to deliver visions, and the upper pair better suited for gliding/flying. Into disasters of course. Most of his body’s coated in a peach fuzz, and the heavier patches have a light dust that serves to protect him from most of the situations his quirk pulls him into. Overall his mutations give him a somewhat moth-like look. Hence his future moniker as a local crypt; the mothman. Despite being small even for a child of his age.
Too big to efficiently fly. Wings are good for bursts of speed, off the ground, and change directions. Not drawn out flights.
Otherwise gliding.
The wings started like birds, at first, with the bones and how they folded. Instead of feathers, though, there were segments, like a moth. Six in total; three pairs.
*Lil Izu wondered about years of horrific car crashes. It happens. Midoriya die. Live Dagoba Beach. See the moon.
Izuku had the disaster scene, the pull. But not the wings, the visions, the understanding and how to warn people. That's why Moma died. Like a moth to flame, she let her son unwittingly guide them to what would be one of the ugglest tragic accidents in years, when a villain-hero fight rolled a bus through a market.
12 passengers, pluss seven padesterens died. Midoriya Inko among them.
“I am attracted to grave catrastifies and the occasional heat lamp.”
Like crying, pressure built around his eyes, something took his hand and whispered to follow.
Just the eyes then. A tragitie. He'd feel tingling in his back if it was a disaster (one pair problem) or in his wings if it was a catastifie (four wing problem).
Dropping whatever he was doing, already forgotten, the boy followed the pull obediently.
For once, a mini mothman was actually minding his own business. Sleeping in the middle of the day, as you do. Tucked away in his little hiddie hole, deep in the trash hills of dagobah beach. Alone. Secure. Safe.
That is, until his home came crashing down around him.
Awaking with a scream, he braced himself. Tried to comprehend what was happening.
Something was over him. Sheltering him from the worst of it. Soft. Sofa?
*Flash back to the crash*
"Hold on!"
Voice snapped him out if it. Snapping his head to the side. A disembodied head(?) Smiled at him, then disappeared into the refrigerator that used to be (and still is) his shelter’s main support.
Still cocooned in his torn, ratty blanket.
Thankfully it covered his wings. He recognized the no longer-disembodied head as the winner of UA's theirs year Sports Festival.
He tied the cloth tighter around himself like a toga.
They, All Might and Mirio, were taken aback by his appearance. He knew what they saw.
Gritty black eyes.
Bony body, sharp angles, clashing with soft baby cheeks.
He didn't have a hairline. The peach fuzz just gradually grew to velvet, to thicker curls- matted and all-over.
And Izuku practically screened awkward.
Wait until they see the soft, light peach fuzz turn dark in the shadows.
Then he'd be a freak too. Awkward, freaky, crypt.
Sorry about that my boy, we didn't expect anyone else to be out here. Why are you out here?
The moment it visibly clicked, his ratty attire, skinny frame, house of trash, Izuku was out.
Reached up, gripped a broken bicycle frame, heaved himself up, and flipped into the pile.
With only mild guilt, he hopped on and off a large, loose, chick of junk, sending in careening down on the pair.
[For reasons, Azawa hunts, and catches, the moth boy, as he’d been reported using his quirk on random passerbiers. He’d show them discombobulated flashes of overwhelming, sometimes horrible, visions]
Please! He begged.
I have to show them you have to let me show them. They're all going to die!
Who? What's going to happen?
The hero was concerned. As he should be. The “Mothman” had an excellent reputation.
And a lack of patience, at the moment.
Erase canceled quirks, but even Izuku didn't know for certain that the visions were.
Restraints loosened, he managed to hit his 'wings' enough to smack them together.
A cloud of powder flew off, a small duct obstruction.
A blink took only a tenth of a second.
Plenty of time for his quirk to activate. Tenth of a second later, when the tired man opened his eyes he forgot to activate his quirk.
Taken by the lights. Trapped in horrific, incomplete visions.
"What did you see?" Izuku hissed. "Tell me?"
Azawa -Eraserheads name was Azawa- snapped out of it, blocking his face and jumping back.
Seeing he wasn't about to get any answers, Izuku turned to the crowd.
"Don't look!"
No one listened to the hero. They knew Mothman. No one wanted to die.
The thing is, Izuku wasn't a combat fighter. He was small, scrawny; worked best for gliding. That wasn't to say he was weak, just made for endurance rather than strength. Endurance and speed.
Actually, he was pretty fragile. Soft skin, no protection, light bones.
But how, you ask, can a vigilante not be able to fight?
Normally he didn't. Honestly he tended to be more of an Oman, warn of oncoming events. When he stumbled on a bad guy, he'd flash his wings, eyes, and overwhelm their brain with psychic waves.
All with the elements of surprise and cover of darkness.
Here he had neither.

Salt of the earth
Fall of Mandalor au
*Against the empire, mandalore has not fallen but they can tell it's inevitable. (Like the last "war" with the Republic) So, they salt the earth of their own home, burry the mines, sabotage domes. To Hey pack up, leave and leave traps. As a final step they clone and release monsters; mythosaur created by scything bone marrow DNA from mythosaur (cloners patch DNA with sith beasts, surprise!). Obviously abandoned, the empire couldn't justify sparing the resources to glass the planet. Instead tried to raid it, but again, couldn't justify the losses they suffered. Mandalore was founded on a planet to hostile for any other peoples. Until they're strong enough to return, that is how it will stay
Follow up plot when they reclaim the planet. Metaphor battling trauma and they hate it made
*Nomads hopping from planet to planet and constantly moving on world. Critical to keep a low profile, Empire has no estimate as to their numbers, even when they do strike out against the empire because they do so from shadows. Independent, but allied with the rebel alliance and saw gerrera.
*Despite having massive bounties on their helmets, mandalorians build up a good rep despite the propaganda because a) they're awesome badasses, and b) they're honest. Keep their word and hard to frame because they come down harder on those who sully their rep. Unlike Jedi, they're well known, and have never said to be anything other than honorable warriors. They couldn't be said to be in league with the Jedi, and because of their harsh and well known independent stance it was hard not to blame them for not joining.
*Hard to look like anything other than conquering independent systems. The Empire driving them off their homeworld was an unpopular move; they tried to spin it as preventing potential agressers but the bombings, raids, forced relocation is hard to spin, expecily when the mandalorians are still around to talk about it.
*It helps nothing the mandalorians train and arm locals for "self defense" and keep recruiting, building.
*Follow stolen beskar and find a bit more on the death star. Something Saul expressed interest in. And, their gathering of kyber Crystals too
