“Rosemary, we should talk.” Tabitha suggested. The X-men mutant needed to confess what she’d done. “It’s about the other night. I didn’t come home on time… Xavier was lookin’ for me. I could go to jail for what I did.”

Rosemary was eating her lunch when she hears Tabitha. “What do you mean? What did you do?”

“I robbed the bank with Mystique.” She showed Rosemary the briefcase and popped open the locks, revealing stacks of cash. Smirking, Tabitha picked up one of the stacks of money. “We can buy whatever we want now. But come Christmas time, we’ll be broke again.”

“What?! Tabitha that’s very wrong and this money isn’t ours,” Rosemary said, standing up as she sees the briefcase.

“I was persuaded by Mystique! She can be very convincing sometimes.” Tabitha put the money away quickly. “What’s wrong with living a little? Xavier didn’t come looking for me that night, did he?”

“Well no, but you know he can read minds from miles away,” Rosemary said, looking at her. “And this money isn’t ours they belong to people who probably worked for it,”

“Shit, Rosemary, can’t we just spend it on a new car or something?” Tabitha asked, not caring if it belonged to other people. “Please don’t tell anyone. Especially Xavier. I’d be kicked out of the X-men if he knew.”

“Oh sure I won’t tell the man who CAN READ MINDS about the fact that you and Raven both robbed a bank for no fucking reason,”

“Shit, you’re right. Xavier’s going to find out anyway. We gotta hide the money, Rosemary.” Tabitha didn’t want to lose her spot on the X-men. Maybe she would regret this after all. 

“I’m sorry ‘we’? No way you’re doing this on your fucking own,” Rosemary said.

“I thought we were in this together. That you always had my back.” Tabitha was confused as to why Rosemary was so stubborn about this. It was just money.

Tabitha thought about the options. “I just wanted to buy you some nice things... Nothing in life is free.” Grasping hold of the briefcase, Boom Boom knew Rosemary was right. “I’ll return it tonight. I’m sorry.” A tear was shed down her face.
