"No need to thank me, dearest," the high king chortled, coiling his fingers around her lustrous hair. "You have been mine forever, and I am forever grateful." The two lay on their futon, draped in velvet and half-naked, like he so often was.

Nat set her book aside, her smirk widening at his words. "Well then, pretty boy, go get cleaned up, and we'll head out for dinner. If you play your cards right, you'll even get a nice surprise waiting for you under my dress."

She stood up, giving him a quick kiss before nudging him towards the bathroom. While he was showering, she could get dressed and ready for dinner.
