PEARL CERDAE UPDATE
Read more about the update here - I'm running a giveaway for 2 Cirrus scrolls too :D
Ancient Cerdae are much older Pearl Cerdae in a more advanced stage of seed-growth. The pact-seed runs rampant in them without check or balance, causing massive anatomical and behavioral alterations.
Ancient Cerdae are often reclusive, having retreated far into the wilderness away from civilization or clans. Their bodies been altered to the point where clothing is an impossibility, and their wings have long rotted off. Often, their only companions are their familiars. With moss covering most of their body, flowers sprouting out of emaciated ribs, vines wound around their limbs acting in place of sinew, one could be forgiven for not realizing they are dragons at all.
Ancient Cerdae are often very long-lived individuals. They can sleep for years or even centuries. Some have passed into local legend as ancient forest spirits or guardians. As awareness of Ancient Cerdae come into public consciousness, guilds and clans have begun sending scouts to investigate folk tales that may be the result of a resident Cerdae. Their claws shed again and again and again until only vestiges of their front paws remain. Pearl Cerdae who lose their pearls will eventually become Ancient Cerdae. It is unclear whether losing their sense of self is what causes their pearls to crack, or whether damage to the pearl leads to their loss of identity. Ancient Cerdae are not differentiated between Blooming, Vined, and Mossy. As their infection progresses, their overgrowth can take any form.
A general theme around Ancient Cerdae is loss of sense of self, and becoming unrecognizable. Since they are essentially immortal, the older ones often seek the company of other Cerdae or long-lived dragons and Beastclans. Here are some ideas to incorporate Ancient Cerdae into your lore:
ancient cerdae who has lived alone for eons, and the descendants of the village they once belonged to comforting them with memories
pearl cerdae grandkid who ingested the seed to extend their life vs mournful ancient cerdae grandparent who doesn’t want them to live the life ahead of them
pearl cerdae enchanted by the beauty of an ancient floral cerdae
cerdae coerced by a superstitious clan into becoming a symbolic deity
a researcher convinced that becoming an ancient cerdae is the route to immortality and being able to extend the timeframe of their projects

i had a dream last night that the cirrus finally released, but staff had locked some people out of just buying the scrolls.
"since you guys complained, we put your scrolls in the forbidden portal. good luck!"
and people had to go and stay there/fight however many battles to finally unlock the ability to buy the cirrus scrolls.

if you buy an item for 100g and then months later sell it for 50g that actually counts as a profit because enough time has passed for you to completely forget about the original cost so it doesn't count anymore. follow me for more economy tips 👍

I hate this. I hate this so much. Are you FUCKING kidding me, S from Plague?! You wasted a perfectly good XXX dragon. I wanted this dragon. I saw it in the auction house and was saving the money for it. It was 25 gems, which yeah is pretty expensive but I guess worth it for a triple color I guess. But I come back to find that he’s already been bought!! Ok, whatever, someone beet me to him…but then I see that THIS is what they did to him?!?!! Why not let someone who wants to give it good lore and actual nice apparel have it?! Instead you hog it and give it a shitty name and cover it in shitty purple apparel for your little joke. What, is this dragon just some kind of meme or something to you?! I sure wish I could have the treasure and gems to just throw away on a perfectly good triple color irifacebelly dragon for no reason other than to turn it into a shitty joke. You probably did this to spite me and players like me! Buy the fancy dragons we want just to turn them into dumb jokes?! FUCK YOU!
