Elise + Jordan: A Beautiful Summer Wedding
Back in 2013, I had the opportunity to meet Elise and her family when they came in for a site tour of The Boulder Country Club. I immediately thought to myself, what a wonderful group of people they are and I hope that I would get the opportunity to work with them. Luckily for me, they ended up loving the venue and decided to have their wedding here on June 29, 2014.
Throughout the planning process, I got to get to know Elise, Jordan and both of their families. I was always happy when I would get a phone call from Elise because every question I answered, she got more and more excited about her wedding. And of course she is probably one of the most genuine and sweet people that I have ever met, it made my job that much easier.
During the ceremony rehearsal and the day of the wedding, I was able to get to know their family and closest friends even more. Everyone was so kind, appreciative and simply excited to see Elise and Jordan finally get married.
I still remember the morning of the wedding and we were busy setting up for the reception and Elise, her sister and mom came in and were blown away by how pretty everything already was. We always get that tinge of nervousness as we want to make sure that the day is perfect for our couple and their families. They have been planning for over and year and to see the look on their faces when they saw the beginning stages of set-up, let's just say it makes you remember why you love what you do.

The reception set-up for Elise and Jordan's wedding was one of our favorites. They DIY'd their centerpieces, table numbers, guestbook and more!

Our bride being the talented artist that she is, drew the picture on the right for their time capsule guest book.

This was by far our favorite ceremony set-up. The dad's of our bride and groom actually made the beaded backdrop and hung it from the trees.

What a loving family this group is, we absolutely loved watching their toasts that evening.

Again, the ever talented father of the bride made and hung this web of paper lanterns over the dance floor.
This was just one of those couples that we knew we were going to be sad to see go after their wedding was over. But we were so happy to work with both Elise and Jordan, as well as both of their families on this gorgeous event!

Bridesmaids dresses are among one of the most difficult decisons you will make during the wedding planning process. While this may sound surprising, the reason behind this is that everyone has a different body type and style they feel comfortable wearing, no to mention can have a strong opinion. Thus, some sort of compromise often has to be made in order to keep all parties happy and feeling confident with what they will end up wearing. Something to consider is choosing a color from a specific designer (so that all match) or family of like colors and allowing bridesmaids to pick a dress style that they feel best in. Thus, everyone still matches, feels good in what they're wearing, and the theme/color scheme of your wedding remains consistent!!

Whether you opt for candles, strings of twinkle lights, or up lighting around the reception space, utilizing external sources of lights creates a romantic atmosphere. Quite simply, lighting has the ability to make everything look better when it is done correctly. Remember, choose lights depending on the way your space is set up. For example, if there are certain details you want guests to notice, use lights that will draw guest's attention to them. Additionally, lighting can be used to further enhance color scheme as well as divide rooms.
