is it just me or is the moralization of kids liking horror media getting,, too much? like i understand that you shouldn’t let children on the internet without supervision, but let’s not go from that to getting ultra concerned when they’re into scary stuff

mainly speaking from experience as someone who grew up liking monsters, ghosts, and slashers ever since i was maybe 4-6. i’m gonna be honest here, i was more scarred by a spongebob episode than i was by ghost-caught-on-tape videos or creepypasta stories. and tbh it gets frustrating seeing people clutch their pearls when little kids show their fascination with fnaf and poppy playtime, and act like such media is poisoning their minds

tl;dr, monitor your children, but also let them be into creepy shit. i promise you it’s not a big deal
