5 out of 5!
I worked out five times this week. I don't remember the last time I got 5 of 5 work outs done in a week. I can't remember the last time I got 4 done in one week. The Sore to the Core program I'm on is working out 5 days of the week. It's usually Monday through Friday, but since I was sick with the flu/in the hospital two days, I had to work out today and yesterday. We had a family BBQ today, so I even logged that half cheese burger and chips I ate for lunch. I've already drank 70% of my required water intake, so I think today will end great too.

Work out day 3
After being to the hospital and back, I took a well deserved two day break. I also am making sure to keep up on my water intake. I don't not want to suffer dehydration EVER. AGAIN. One of the days I missed, was actually a rest day on my program. So technically, I only missed one day due to the flu. I feel much better today. Just hoping my hubby doesn't get sick. He avoided it out of the four of us.

The flu
Well I had a fun morning. Woke up at 2am puking my guts out till 6am. Then my anxiety decided to chime in and have me hyperventilating on the floor shaking thinking I'm having a seizure. My entire body was tingly and numb. I could barely stay standing up because I was going to collapse. My hands and feet were clenched in weird positions because my oxygen and cO2 levels were off. So my hubby called 911 and and the paramedics picked me up. I had an awesome first responder who gave me an IV with no problems, kept the mood light and even got me to smile a few times. He kept me calm and the anxiety monster slowly eased up. In the hospital, I had a chest X-ray, blood work and two bags of fluid. By the end of my stay, everything had checked out. I was extremely dehydrated from my flu symptoms and my anxiety basically made every single thing worse. I left with nausea meds and was told to breathe into a paper bag next time I can't get my breathing under control and keep my o2/co2 level. THIS IS NOT WHAT I HAD PLANNED FOR THE DAY! So needless to say, I'm gonna take the day off.

Day two
Remember how I was complaining about not being able to get my work out in because of my puking children? Today, MY SISTER HAD HER BABY! And I still got my work out in! It was Day 2 of my sore to the core program. Today was lots of plank variations where I had my extremely helpful 10 month old trying to stand and balance on his out of shape mommy who kept falling over. I also had to do Russian twists, I used my 30 pound 10 month old as my weights. Needless to say, my work out was filled with laughter and giggles from everyone in the room. My 3 year old also loves to get active with me and kept asking, "what do we do next, mom?".

Weight lifting
Back in high school (2004-2008) i was in a class called weight lifting. My very first freshman schedule had it on there and I had no clue what I would be getting into. It was one of the best things I ever just "went with". I learned proper lifting technique, use of all the different machines/stations, and I almost broke a record for ladies squat in my weight class. I can't wait to have this kind of strength again. I don't want to be skinny. I want to be fit. And I will be again. I am my own inspiration.

I got to work out!
My 9 month old son went down for a nap and I went to work on Alexa Jean's Sore to the Core program. I bought all her programs in September after my son was born. I did a few a few times and would give up. Now it's just getting too warm out to be out of shape. So I busted through Day 1, and started clean up for a 3,000 sq ft re roofing job my hubby is doing. I didn't get much done before I was exhausted. It was 83 degrees when I was out there. But I'm glad I could help and it was on top of my work out. I'll go help more tomorrow too, also on top of my work out. Does anyone else follow her programs?

Almost
Today was gonna be the day. My alarm was set, I had my work out and work out music ready. And my daughter woke up puking. She puked on her bed, she puked on the carpet, she puked on the (thankfully leather) couch.. took a nice long nap and woke up feeling way better. We thought we were out of the clear. Till my 9 month old projectile vomited on my hubby, floor, (again leather) chair and himself. He puked and napped too. Gave him some baby cereal and he kept it down so I put him down to sleep. Now I am exhausted, my washing machine broke, it was 91* today and my house smells like puke. I'll see how things go tomorrow. Sorry not sorry.

2013
2013 is the year I became a mom. I was thin and very fit before I got pregnant. I worked out almost every day and had for 9 years before that. Then I got pregnant, lazy, unenthused and hungry with this mindset that I'll just lose all the weight after I give birth. And I did, I lost about 60 pounds and was back to around 125 pounds, but it took two years of hard work, back to working out every day, counting calories, working on being healthy. And then I got pregnant again. And I ate all the cookies again. And I gained 60ish pounds again. Here I am today with an almost 4 year old and a 10 month old. In the last few months I have lost 50 pounds! I'm about 20 pounds from my goal weird and have to build muscle and dedication. I refuse to go another summer not feeling comfortable enough wearing shorts. I refuse to be the out of shape mom that can't keep up with her kids. I refuse to fail.
