What else! George Clooney face carved into a coffee bean. Now, what do you think of my coffee bean carving of George Clooney's face? For many years I have been a big fan of his films which have included classics like Oceans 12, The American, Tomorrowland, Dusk Till Dawn, and O Brother where art thou?. When George first appeared on the Nespresso TV Adverts I kept thinking to myself? "Maybe I should carve another coffee bean as a tribute piece and a challenge to myself?". I then remembered the last coffee bean I carved and almost talked myself out of the challenge. Coffee beans are very difficult to carve, they are crumbly, hollow and they brake apart very easily. A simple mistake, or applying the wrong amount of pressure can destroy the carving in one move. The first coffee bean I attempted to carve was of the face of Queen Elizabeth II. If you look back through my previous posts you can find the Jubilee piece. The George Clooney carving took me several attempts before I finally finished the piece with a happy face.
