A fun fact:
In the brosca origin theres a man in orzammar who offers you like a single silver piece to let him pull out some of your teeth. He uses them to fix the teeth of the higher caste people (fantasy dentistry lol) And if you try and hangle or say no he basically tells you its your loss and there are plenty of dusters desperate enough to take the deal.
I reallyy wish we got to chew on dwarf politics and how fucked the system is more.

ok i know we're all in the doomed by the narrative era collectively BUT!!!!!!!!! but. BUT. can i just say my little piece about how much i actually love a living HoF worldstate. like conceptually it's so fucking good okay like you go through your story and because of that you know your story. you know the complexity of the situation, you know & understand the circumstances only through ur frame of reference for that decision - u didnt know going to camp would doom redcliffe! u didnt know that the demon possessing connor wouldnt kill everyone if you went to the circle tower! u didnt know jowan doing blood magic was an option! u didnt realise there were kids living in the circle tower! u didnt realise zathrian was lying abt the origin of the werewolf curse! etc etc - and then like none of that matters because no one hears or cares abt the complexity. you are, exclusively, The Hero of Ferelden. the only thing that remains is that you saved ferelden - and at first, it matters to people how you did it, but eventually even that fades. all the difficult decisions you made get smoothed over into nothing - all of those lives that you might have been able to save are unremembered. all of the lives lost defending yours is irrelevant. and you're still here and even that's irrelevant!!! you are still alive but they've made you a living myth, something bigger than yourself. & it's SUCH a delicious parallel to loghain's status as the hero of river dane, which in turn, is the bookend to solas "the dreadwolf" dragon age. you're just left with the mythology of who you are!!! it's so fucking good

If you don't believe it, go down to your local karaoke bar on a busy night. Wait until the third hour, when the drunk frat boys and gastropub waitresses with headshots are all done with Backstreet Boys and Alicia Keys and locate the slightly older Asian businessman standing patiently in line for his turn, his face warmly rouged on Crown or Japanese lager, and when he steps up and starts slaying "Country Roads," try not to laugh, or wink knowingly or clap a little too hard, because by the time he gets to "West Virginia, mountain mama," you're going to be singing along, and by the time he's done, you might understand why a seventy-seven-year-old guy from a tiny island in the Taiwan Strait who's been in a foreign country for two-thirds of his life can nail a song, note perfect, about wanting to go home.

An illuminated manuscript from a gossip pamphlet found in the First Talon’s desk with the caption reads:
The Treviso Tourney - Knight Takes Rook
Despite the recently crowned King Viago’s presence at this weekend’s coronation tournament, the audience seemed more enamoured with the rare appearance of the newly wed Dellamorte’s. The Champion of Treviso’s magical talents may have left her out of the competition, but the First Talon’s blade received Rook’s favour - and this punter knows to never bet against the Rook!
