daily ramble: 

the fact that ben’s parents gave him $1000 and left him and the fact that ben said the see’s chocolates were the only gift he got besides a postcard from his dentist. it shows how he understands that his parents don’t do things for him but instead for themselves. 

the money and the party were not a gift. they were a way to absolve themselves both of responsibility and guilt and leave him. they were literally the opposite of a gift. gifts are from the heart from one person to another, with the recipient in mind. 

the fact that ben valued the $10 box of chocolates and even a postcard from the dentist more than a wad of hundos. i just. i cannot form a coherent thought, but do you know what i’m saying? i am saying i am sad

BIG BROOKLYN 99 SPOILERS

okay, so brooklyn 99 season 8 has started off amazing.

dan goor basically took what we asked for and gave us the opposite, breaking up kevin and holt almost to show that storyline wasn't dead. them coming back together just shows how relationships can be saved even if they seem lost.

jake and amy seemed to have settled into parenting, and i love how they showed amy being such a worried mum. i mean she waited so long mac, and giving birth to him was probably one of the best days of her life. so showing that is so overprotective over him was such an amazing way to show what mothers do for their children.

i could probably go on forever, but the new episode is out tomorrow for me, and i am so excited!!
