hey y’all, it’s been a bit but i thought y’all might like to hear this exciting update:
i’ve accepted a position with a local food security non-profit where i’ll start on sept 11. i’ll be working as a resource coordinator to expand SNAP outreach & maximize SNAP use in my state, with my work also serving as groundwork & case study for potential national policy & strategy. it’s going to be my first salaried position and my first job that actually applies to my degrees.
i’m already not on here all that often anyway, but i still think of y’all and am super excited to share about this :))
“It was around then that I realized for the first time that falling in love is like being haunted. Even before I opened my eyes in the morning, you would slip in under my eyelids. When I opened them, you instantly transferred to the ceiling, the wardrobe, the windowpane, the street, the far-off sky, and glimmered there like dappled light. You haunted me more persistently than I imagine any ghost ever could.”
