You know how in friend groups there’s always those people who are closer to each other? Or in opposition there are some who aren’t actually that close or don’t spend as much time with each other unless the whole group comes together?

Well regardless of those dynamics there are moments where everyone is there for each other:

Despite their pledge to stay friends, there is still an awkwardness lingering between Emma and Caleb that doesn’t really go away until they both start dating other people and when it finally does go away Emma is the one who gets Caleb to start liking Lookout and Valiant and even teaches him the ropes

Aiden and Michael don’t really have much in common. In the early days of the friend group, Aiden thought Michael was lazy and aloof and Michael didn’t really care. There just wasn’t a lot of common ground. Until Michael introduces Aiden to music that isn’t from a hundred or more years ago and Aiden finds himself actually enjoying it. They don’t bond or spend hours together like the others do but every once in a while at lunch you catch wind of them exchanging playlists and youtube links.

Another rare sight was seeing Emma and Maria spend time together when MC wasn’t around for some kind of committee or when Maria wasn’t running around doing surveys for an upcoming school event. All it took was one day of volunteering to help Maria with passing out flyers for a bake sale and Emma got a glimpse of a work ethic she’d never thought humanly possible. Both afraid and amazed, she and Maria would spend the late hours before exams and project weeks together at the library, maria keeping them on a tight schedule and Emma reminding that every once in a while slowing down to breathe wasn’t a bad thing.

Everyone knew the power that was a Maria-Michael teamup but nobody could’ve predicted how much more powerful, how much more chaotic it became when Myra joined the fray for a valentines day event at Berry. Aiden swear he hadn’t seen that kind of motivation out her since she was assigned to lead the brass section. There were so many matches made that day that the site Michael set up for feedback actually crashed but at that point Maria had enough data to determine the event was a success.

When Emma finds herself wanting to learn how to play piano so she can learn the OST to her favorite game who else was she to go to except the music maestro of Berry himself. Aiden is more than ready to teach Emma and while normally his frustrations can get the better of him; it’s Emma, one little pout and his anger melts away and whatever admonition he might have had turns into simple yet solid advice.

These were just some headcanons of mine about how the group might get closer to each other outside of orbiting MC

Sorry but you are CLOWNING, if you don’t think that during that musical chairs scene that, while Gabe is sitting proper and maybe a little slouched as to not seem so disturbed, CAS IS LEANING BACK, ONE ARM BEHIND THE CHAIR, LEGS SPREAD, HEAD TILTED, STARING AT YOU and maybe licking their lip once.

Not me thinking about fraternal twins! Elementalists MC and Atlas because of my own cool brother.

• The conditions of their birth stay the same: Sun-Att, Moon-Att born at the same times after midnight separated for safety etc.

• But you can bet your ass that M! Atlas would be waaaaay more protective of you as a Fem! MC.

• Like yeah eventually you becomes strong enough to hold your own and to hell with traditional gender roles.

• But Atlas can’t help it. When he sees how close you and whichever LI you chose have grown he can’t help the “over-protective brotherly stare.”

• The mirror incident would prob freak you out a lot more because it’s a GUY who looking back at you as a girl in the bathroom and you might have screamed and threw a toothpaste tube once.

• When you two finally meet Atlas is a little more physically affectionate than a same gender Atlas. His actions are awkward but warm and nice. He gives headpats because he’s likely taller and maybe teases you, his sister, about it a bit.

• He almost jumps into your thief game when you get attacked by the possessed player and actually hugs you after.

• M Atlas has FOR SURE cornered your LI and threatened them in the classic “if you hurt them I’ll rearrange your brains” kind of way and would be especially threatening to Beckett and Griffin.

• When M Atlas teaches you (FeMC) things like the waterbreather spell or stealth lessons he tries to be harsh but can’t help but soften up a bit and be just a little more concerned if you’re struggling or discomforted.

SPOILER WARNING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT PLAYED OR FINISHED ELEMENTALISTS SKIP TO THE NEXT BLOCK OF BOLD BLUE TEXT

• in the final battle against the Dread he legit has a “head empty, no thought, only protect sister” moment and physically jumps in front of a spell instead of deflecting it with magic.

• develops respect and approval of your LI when they stand up to Raife and even takes a second to say so which makes you and LI go “That’s what it took?!”

SPOILER OVER READ ON.

•M! Atlas eventually develops this protective kind of hug with a hand on the back of his sisters (your) head. He lets you lay your head on his shoulder.

• He tolerates your teasing a little more. Lets you, Shreya and Aster dress him up and something OTHER than his black jacket more often.

• M! Atlas has a harder time opening up to the other but an easier time opening up to you when your alone. There’s just something about having a sister that softens his edges.

On the likely chance that @playchoices has been keeping track of the tag and knows all of us can see Kade from Blades being possessed from MILES away if they did it, I almost wished they’d pull an Elementlist. Like Atlas was left alone the put in that realm up against all those shadows creatures and evil things and it made him/her a badass. What if instead of possessed, we reunite with a hardened, half traumatized, full on BAMF, Kade with makeshift tools, weapons, his own collection of artifacts, ripped up clothes and scars.

THAT, would knock me on my ass.

Finally we get some of Bryce’s backstory and some long overdue time with him. It only took SIX chapters

Confession: I really want to write for Choices and I already have a story but I know you have to have at least one published work and credits to even qualify. ☹️
