I had always loved the Beach Boys music, but I had only really started diving deeper into their discography and their story over the past few years. I knew he wasn't going to be around forever, still when I first heard the news about his passing, I felt at pit at the bottom of my stomach.

The Beach Boys have become such a huge part of me. When I listened to Pet Sounds all the way through for the first time, it changed my life. Brian Wilson's brilliance as a writer and composer is undeniable, he was years ahead of his time. There will never be another mind like his. Though he is no longer physically with us anymore, his music and his memory will live on forever. With the amount he suffered throughout his life, I sincerely hope he was able to find peace in the end...

Thank you for the music, Brian. Rest in peace, you've absolutely earned it...

A couple of years into living with Pascal, Felix experienced an intense bout of home sickness. At first, he was confused by his feelings, he hated his small town growing up. It was incredibly isolated and he spent his entire life there as a social outcast. In the middle of nowhere, the ONE person who had his back was his mom. While Felix was happy with the life he had built with Pascal, he deeply regretted how he got there...

One day in 1967 at five in the morning, Felix scribbled out a short note before leaving the old Nash house without a trace. He felt horrible for leaving his mom like that, since he was really all she had left, but he couldn't keep on living the way he was. Part of his home sickness was a manifestation of the immense guilt he felt for leaving her all alone. He also feared that she wouldn't understand his reasons or even grew to resent him, which only caused him to keep putting off contacting her...

Pascal hated to see the person he cared about suffering, he could tell that the guilt was eating him alive. He and Felix agreed that he would have to face his fears head-on in order to feel any relief, it was time to pay Dottie a visit. Pascal saved up his pay checks and borrowed his sister's hearse so the two of them could make the long trip to Copperhead, Texas...

Upon reuniting, Dottie was relieved to see that her son was alive and well. She didn't love that he ran out on her like that, but she doesn't hold that against him. She was however, quite horrified when he revealed to her that he spent months living on the streets.
