Jeongguk cursed as his body slammed onto the hard, packed earth of the training field, twigs breaking under the impact and rocks digging painfully into his chest. His arms were yanked mercilessly back and twisted until his joints screamed at the strain and his back bowed. Furious, he kicked his legs and tried to curl them back to dislodge you, but you bent low against his back and leaned on his trapped arms in warning.

“Call it, Jeon.”

“No,” he bit out fiercely, spitting dirt from his dry mouth. He threw his legs upward, the heel of his boot just barely glancing off your shoulder, before stopping at the ominous wrenching in his shoulders.

“Call it before I break your arms.”

He’d rather you did. At least the pain would distract him from the humiliation of losing to you yet again, in close combat fighting no less. Jeongguk stopped fighting back, panting harshly through his nose, trying to think his way out of your hold.

“Y/N, come on. It’s obvious you won, just get off him,” Jimin pleaded from the sidelines, quietly like he was worried about attracting the attention of their training officer.

Jeongguk grunted and swiveled his head around in the dirt, pissed that Jimin would interfere and ready to tell him to fuck off, but it was too late. With a wearied sigh, you sat back and released his arms, swinging up and off of him before he had a chance to reverse the hold.
