Chapter 3
When the first years walked up the marble staircase to get to the Great hall, a teacher greeted them all at the top of the second flight of stairs. Seriously, they need to get an elevator. As Brooklyn looked up, she could see portraits littering corridors and stairs as far as the eye can see, the teacher began talking about the different houses and about how points will be given for good things and taken for bad. She also said how the house is like your family so do it well and with that she said, "The sorting will begin momentarily." With that she walked off to the Great Hall. The students were alone, they could've had a big party or crazy dances but instead, Draco Malfoy sauntered up the stairs, Crabbe and Goyle behind him and stood up at the front. "So," he started, "It's true then what they were saying on the train." He looked over at us girls. "Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts." All around, people were whispering excitedly and he introduced himself. "I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." A boy sniggered. "Think my name's funny do you, red hair and a hang me down robe, you must be a Weasley." He extended his hand. "You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort, I can help you there." Potter raised his eyebrows. "I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks."  Ooof. Daphne snickered next to Brooklyn. "Crash and burn." she whispered and all of the people in her area giggled. Including Brooklyn, although she did feel sorry for Malfoy as he was tapped on the shoulder by a scroll held by McGonagall. He stalked back over to his friends and began muttering about the 'wrong sort'. As the first years walked into the Great Hall, they saw student after student all staring at them and Pansy squirmed uncomfortably. A lot of people were sorted like Susan Bones, the red haired kid Ron Weasley and Draco himself. Then Potter got up to whispers as he was sorted into Gryffindor. All of Brooklyn's friends were sorted except her, Theo and Blaise. Theo was next, a pair of twin girls Parvati and Padma, a Hannah Abbott, a Terry Boot, Blaise, four more, Felix and Freya and finally with seven left, Brooklyn. She walked up to the hat and sat down on the stool. The hat whispered, "hmm, you want to be with your friends and you're smart but not a Ravenclaw, Loyal but not a Hufflepuff and that leaves Gryffindor and Slytherin." Brooklyn shook her head and thought not Gryffindor, anything but Gryffindor. The hat frowned, "That's an unusual request but oh well, SLYTHERIN!"  All of Brooklyn's friends cheered and as she got off the stool she went to join them. She sat in between Felix and Draco and as the last people were sorted, the feast begun. There was foods galore as she looked at the different meats, the different vegetables, even different potatoes, then she had heard they served for a strange reason mint humbugs but okay, whatever helps you sleep at night. They ate lots of food, introduced themselves properly to Felix and Freya and to some older students. Lola introduced them all to her brother and his friends and then as the last of the puddings were eaten (jam tarts, ice creams, rice pudding, all flavors of chocolate etc.), they followed the Prefects to their common room. Their common room was in the dungeons behind a door that looked like a wall, you had to whisper the password to and apparently It stayed the same all year. This year was Slytherin the year before was common room, original huh. Who comes up with these passwords, a five year old? The common room was cold at first as it was under the black lake which gave it a greenish glow but as you stepped properly in there was a fireplace that kept it all warm. Boys dormitories to their left and girls to their right.
All of the girls trudged upstairs and said goodbye and goodnight to the boys. Their dorm room was a huge rectangular room with a door on the left probably leading to a huge bathroom. There were six four poster beds and they were draped with emerald blankets and pillows. The beds all had silver bedside tables next to them and they each had a lamp on in the shape of a snake. There were six wardrobes, one for each of them, and there were three windows on the right side of the room. These windows looked out onto the Black Lake and the older students said that you could usually see mermaids or some water creature swim by once in a while. Brooklyn was the first in so she claimed the bed nearest to the bathroom and the next girl was in he next bed and so on.
Soon, all of their stuff was unpacked, placed properly and they were all sat on Millicent's bed playing Verituserum. That was a truth telling potion which was like the Muggle way of saying truth game. They asked questions and you had to drink a sip of that to answer the question. Afterwards, Millicent was afraid of Pumpkins (say what), Pansy had a crush on Draco (eww), Daphne like Lola the best of her friends (rude) and so on, finally as it was Brooklyn's turn the question was any big secrets. She swallowed and answered with, "I hate my dad he is always away and didn't even see me off at the platform, he is always doing paperwork and I just hate him, I miss mum. She would have been nice. She would have told dad that he was doing the wrong parenting and that he need to at least have a conversation with me." The girls all gave my sympathy stares and then it was Lola's go again. Finally, we all agreed to get some sleep for the nice lessons tomorrow, well depends on if you like studying or not. However, she definitely needs to borrow Star from Draco, if he says no, steal. She needs to write home to her dad. Make sure that he still wants to at least talk once in a while. Anyway, as Brooklyn got into bed she felt the warmness of the blankets and the fluffy pillow and fell asleep having a nice dream about how much she was going to love finding these new secret passages. This is going to be so fun.  A/N: Just a quick not saying two updates in one you lucky things and saying how much fun I am having. Also, they had some quality bonding time. If you have any constructive criticism please feel free to comment. This is one of my longer chapters and I have probably an even longer one to do tomorrow if I update tomorrow about their lessons and their flying lessons. Feel free to comment if you want fluff chapters like swimming in the black lake or whatever. Also, do you want me to do POV (point of view) changes? :D

Chapter 2
When Brooklyn woke up on September 1st, she looked around her bedroom and spotted her calendar and hurried over then crossed off the little note she had wrote to herself. The note said something along the lines of don't be late or you'll miss the train. She hurried over to her wardrobe and pulled out the first thing she got hold of. After she was dressed she slid down the banister of the stairs so she didn't waste any more time. Her dad patted her on the back, held out his arm and when she held it back, they apparated to the train station.  "Mr. and Mrs Malfoy will be here with Draco soon so be on your best behavior," Mr Fudge said. "Yes father," Brooklyn sighed, she was always speaking politely to her father and just wanted to act like they knew each other. The way he made her speak like he was the king made her shiver slightly. All of a sudden there was a loud Pop and the Malfoy family appeared. They had obviously arrived by apparition too. Draco did the immediate thing and left the boring adults to talk.  "What's the platform number?" Brooklyn asked.  "9 and 3/4." "Platform what?" she looked around and could see no 9 and 3/4. Yes living in the wizarding world you'd expect her to know all about this by now but because she had never been there, she thought it was a joke when Draco mentioned it before.  Mr. Fudge grabbed his daughters hand and pulled her right between platforms 9 and 10. He told her to go through the middle and she secretly thought he was mental but wasn't going to say that of course. She rushed forward and expected to crash but came out on the other side unscathed. Right in front of her was a huge ruby red steam train that could probably fit about a thousand people in there.  A few moments later and Draco and his parents had joined Brooklyn on the platform. "Your father said that he had an urgent call from the Ministry, dear." Mrs Malfoy said. Brooklyn nodded her head, secretly feeling deflated as she thought about how he would not be there to witness her first train ride to Hogwarts. She followed her best friend onto the train and met their other gang of friends in a small compartment. It was so small however that they girls agreed to go and find a separate one together promising to meet them off the train. As Brooklyn, Daphne, Pansy and Millicent sat themselves down, a girl with black hair and chocolate brown eyes entered their compartment. "Can I sit here, my brother's gone to find his friends?" They all nodded and introduced themselves as first years and their names. She smiled and said "I'm first year too, my brother's fifth year and Captain of the Quidditch team. My name's Lola Flint." Brooklyn thought for a moment and something clicked. "Marcus Flint's sister, your father works at the Ministry?" She nodded and they had a great time talking about what they would do first at Hogwarts and the mischievousness they can get up to.
A short while later, the trolley witch came by and after they all bought a chocolate frog and liquorice wand each, Pansy's treat, a girl with bushy brown hair came in "Have you seen a toad, a boy named Neville's lost one?" They all shook their heads and she nodded and said a thanks for your help and off she went. After that, another group came in but it was a good group. "Hi Blaise, Theo, Crabbe, Goyle." Brooklyn said. Draco pouted, "Where's my hi?" Brooklyn laughed and continued, "I've already seen you today, guys meet Lola Flint, Lola meet the guys." She smiled self-consciously and as they talked to her more, she got more relaxed. When at last, they were gone from the doorway, a boy hurried over to Lola and said "Apparently, Harry Potter's on the train." He rushed off again and they immediately went and told Draco. When they got back to their compartment, Lola said that it was her brother. Then, they found out Daphne had a sister and Theo has a brother, but most of the group already knew that, Lola didn't.  Anyway, when the train stopped, the gang met up and all hopped off and the Prefects and Head Boy and Girl told everyone to leave their luggage here because someone would be here to collect it most likely the teachers. As the first years stepped off, a man stood inside the station and introduced himself as Hagrid. Like Crabbe and Goyle, the gang now calls him by his last name, all the students do. Any who, Daphne came up to Brooklyn and said, "We need to go by boat, Lola said her brother said, can you imagine falling in though, eww."  She was right, as they hopped in the boats (Brooklyn, Draco, Blaise and Lola in one- Pansy, Crabbe, Daphne ad Goyle in the second- Millicent, Theodore and two others that told them they were twins Felix and Freya). When the boats set off, they turned a corner and got their first glimpse of Hogwarts, it was magnificent, they couldn't ask for anything more... A/N: I'll try not to do authors notes all the time but as this is only the second chapter, it seems reasonable, thank you to those who have already rea it within the first 24 hours. I was going on to write more today and saw like 17 readers already, thank you so much I was so happy. Remember to like comment and the rest of it. Any recommendations of fanfics you have created or fan art you guys have done for your stories or mine. That would be awesome and I would be happy to promote it in the next chapter. Love you all. Bye.

Quotev Story, Brooklyn Fudge (Draco Malfoy)
Brooklyn Fudge was a normal girl... not. Her father was Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic and her mother had died early on from child birth. Sometimes, Brooklyn hated the publicity because her father was always away at meetings or busy with paper work. Other times, she loved it. Everyone knew her name and when she went to Hogwarts, they would all bow down to her and she would never be lonely again... Brooklyn had long caramel colored hair and her eyes were a dainty blue, just like her mother's eyes. Brooklyn had always been short and she always will be but one can hope, right. Brooklyn was a pureblood so that helped make a lot of high connections. When her father did spend time with her it was usually in a fancy dinner party they were invited to or for a fancy ball they had the pleasure of going to. Mostly, though, she was invited to go to a certain boy's house she had always been friends with and she actually enjoys his company. that boy was none other than Draco Malfoy.  Draco Malfoy, a pureblood loving blonde haired boy. when he wasn't doing the fancy dinner's and balls too, he was hanging out with Brooklyn talking about Diagon Alley and Hogwarts. They had a little gang of friends Brooklyn and Draco. Their friends worshipped them way to much though, there was Theodore Nott, Blaise Zabini, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson , Millicent Bulstrode and Daphne Greengrass.                                                                                                       *** One extremely early, surprisingly sunny June morning, as the morning post owl flew in, a letter in a thick parchment caught Brooklyn's eye. she grabbed it daintily and flipped over the envelope, a Hogwarts crest emblem stood out on the yellowing envelope and without hesitation, she ripped open the paper. Yes, finally the moment she had been waiting for, her letter to Hogwarts. her chance to be who she wants to be without cameras following her every move. She ran into the hallway, bumping into the side of the banister. Her house was huge, if you call it a house. It was more like a small manor, either way, Brooklyn loved it for the different twisted passageways and secret hiding spaces. Her dad was waiting for her in his study and, as she rushed the last set of stairs, she said excitedly "Dad, the Hogwarts letter has arrived and this means we finally get to go to Diagon Alley!" She squealed and rushed downstairs again as she grabbed a handful of floo powder and exclaimed "Malfoy Manor!" As she felt the familiar tube sensation, she pulled in her elbows. With a last glance at some old witches dining room floor, she fell on a cold surface with a thud. She looked up and saw a hand extended to her and she reached up and gratefully took it. The hand belonged to Draco Malfoy, her best friend since for as long as she could remember. "Did you get your Hogwarts letter?" Brooklyn asked quickly.  "Yeah, Mum and Dad opened it before me though so I technically didn't." They both chuckled. "Dad was in his study working when I got mine, I told him and then came here straight away because, you know what this means." "Diagon Alley." They both said together. A short while later, Brooklyn and Draco were travelling with Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, Draco's parents, and they had travelled by apparition this time. A way on how to get from one place to another. It was like there was a tight tube that could just about fit baby inside and you were being told to go down it you were usually sick the first time. Or you could get splinched, lose a part of yourself on the way. After the quick entrance, Brooklyn immediately ran off to Gringotts, the wizarding bank for some gold to buy all of her school supplies. After the turbulent cart ride their and back, they wobbled out of Gringotts to get their other things. Lucius went to look at books and Narcissa to the robes store. This left Draco and Brooklyn free to go wherever they wanted, they both decided first however to go and get their wand. When they entered Ollivanders, they thought it was empty until a man came speeding towards them from a ladder and as he jumped off he said "I wondered when I'd be seeing you Mr Malfoy," he turned to Brooklyn. "Ah and you too Miss Fudge." It might sound creepy that he knows their names but in the wizarding world, they're practically celebrities. He handed them both a wand to try and they went through at least five wands each before Draco found his wand made with Unicorn Tail core. Ironic right. Draco means Dragon in the constellations (stars). He passed Brooklyn her seventh wand and she muttered "Seventh times the charm." She waved it and a jet of water splashed over them both. She giggled at his wet hair before trying another wand. At last, she had her eleventh try and that was the right wand for her. Unicorn tail, Willow, eight inches good for Charms work. Which was helpful if she wanted to dry herself off.  When they all met at Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlor, they all bought a vanilla ice cream Brooklyn asked for chocolate chips and they made their way around Diagon Alley for any last purchases. They wanted a pet each so they both bought one with their own money though because Lucius disagreed with pets. Draco bought and owl he named Star, obvious, and Brooklyn bought a fluffy grey kitten she named Evangeline or Eva for short. "Why did you name your cat Evangeline, that's complicated." Draco asked on their way back to the manors front gates. "It was my mother's name and it's Eva for short Mr. Simple." She retorted and Draco scoffed, "You're comparing your mother to a ferocious man eating thing." This time it was Brooklyn's turn to scoff, "She's just a kitten, you don't like her because she scratched your arm."                                                                                                 *** "Dad, I'm home," Brooklyn called. She rushed over to her Dad's study and found him asleep at his desk. She smiled slightly and shuffled his paperwork to the other side of the desk and took off his stiff looking hat before grabbing a jacket and putting his head on it like a pillow. As she left the room she rushed to her own and gushed to her cat at how awesome this new chapter of their lives is going to be. She turned to her wardrobe and picked up a picture of her friends and her at the last winter ball. Smiling she snuggled up on her bed and dreamt of the last ball when her and Draco had to dance and they ended up falling on top of some old wierdos and they bother burst out laughing. That was a good day and Hogwarts will be even better. Hopefully. Little did she know this was going to be the biggest challenge she'd ever have to face. A/N: This is my first fanfiction and I am so excited, please comment any ideas you have for helping this fanfiction grow. Also, as a birthday present, please like, comment and all the rest of that stuff. :D
