#i know this is the piss on the poor website but some reading comprehension please the question isn't who's at blame#it's who's more at blame#so everyone who's like 'well neither is faultless' THAT'S NOT THE QUESTION#anyway#obviously so many things are to blame. but having read ty dunne's beautiful analysis on the situation right after the trade#and the shift between these two that happened all last season more behind closed doors#and the way that stef kinda. rubbed a lot of guys the wrong way a lot of the time. i think that ultimately. what it boiled down to#was that there was a bit of a shift in the bills culture as a team after the bengals playoff loss and the general rough patch last season.#and even though it looked like publicly stef was accommodating of that during the season i think ultimately he wasn't. and so he wanted out#(which has been said by multiple people in that locker room i'm not just like. pulling this out of my ass)#and josh was kind of over the whole great teammate when they're doing well dick when they're not schtick#and to be clear. this isn't me being like. 'ugh stef was too much of a diva'#this is about how he was publicly being very supportive of josh and trying to get him out of his head during the jets opener last season.#and then was being an absolute dick to him in the locker room to the point that he had to snap at stef to knock it off#so obviously they're both to blame. there's no such thing as a one sided divorce in sports. and like#i don't think these two were ever gonna work forever when the stakes are this high. but#stef's behavior and choices are ultimately more to blame for the situation#sorry for the rant i just have. lots of thoughts about it lmao
