started kotor 1 again and its crazy how different the vibe is while the graphics are the exact same. kotor 1 has this very old school adventure movie star wars feeling to it and a clunky classic rpg setup (you are 1 day old but the most important person in the world) which serves the twist very well while kotor 2 has such a deep sense of melancholy the entire game which obviously really suits that plot and the slow series of realisations that aren't really a 'twist' but more an understanding
#endar spire prologue vs peragus mining facility#i love taris btw i know people think it drags but i love the way you descend into the city

somewhere out there right now is a kid with curly hair being raised by people who have wavy hair at best and those people are giving them 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and telling them to dry brush it. and that kid is gonna spend all of middle school and high school hating their hair and moping over the flat iron. they're being told right now that if they don't dry-brush their curl pattern into oblivion every morning it means they're unkempt and gross even though they naturally have the kind of ringlets that a thousand bridezillas would commit horrible murders for every june. it's happening right now it's an absolute epidemic and a tragedy every time
#mine is only wavy but my stepmum with shoulder length pin straight hair insisted that my frizz was caused by being too lazy to brush it#properly and insisted on over brushing my hair with a badly suited hairbrush#which obviously didnt help the frizz situation!!

Everyone warns you agaist going to the supermarket hungry, but nobody tells you about the dangers of going there too full: I do not want any of these things, for I will never require any food at all!

i play a lot of mystery games and its fun to see all the different ways they deal with the mechanical challenge of letting the player demonstrate that they've figured something out and each method has its own pros and cons but i have now found the game that is the worst anyones ever done it and its master detecti.ve archives rain co.de
#i like the setting and the mysteries so far are interesting and i like halara but the labyrinth.... oh god the labyrinth......#making you answer questions with a time limit as part of a confusing minigame while you cant look back over your evidence#whoever came up with this legitimately a maniac. the second labyrinth was definitely better because there was clear 'now is the time to#think and make sure you have your facts straight' points but it did also include a new minigame where you need to not press any buttons in#order to dodge an irrelevant statement (as opposed to the very similar minigame where you do dodge these) so i was like oh am i using the#wrong button and kept trying different buttons until i just looked it up because i kept dying over and over#i have other issues with the game but like this is central
