Parallel Dimensions and Homunculi
My comic begins with a humanoid being emerging from what appears to be a stone bath in a dark room. At first glance, this being looks like a human, but they lack any sexual characteristics (at least secondary ones). Their name is Chili Pepper.
Chili can speak English, but very brokenly. They navigate the forest they find themselves in quite well and curiously study nature. However, when they enter the city, everything seems strange to them. The concept of currency feels bizarre, yet technologies like surveillance cameras or store detectors seem oddly familiar. Observant as they are, they quickly realize that stealing something from a store wouldn’t be easy, but they manage to come up with a way to bypass security as long as they don’t attract attention.
Later, they encounter another character in the story, a human boy named Philip. At first, Philip assumes that Chili is an alien from another planet. However, Chili claims that their home planet is the third from the Sun and calls it “Terra” (which is another name for Earth). This strongly suggests that Chili comes from an alternate reality rather than an entirely different planet.
Chili has a companion from the same world named Cinnamon. They share the same origin. While nothing is known about their home world yet, it is revealed early on that they once had different bodies in a parallel reality.
Their current bodies were artificially created in the same bath from which they emerged. These new bodies are designed to be more human-like while also being more resilient. This allows them to blend in with crowds without drawing suspicion.
They are also less vulnerable to injuries, even ones that would be fatal for a human. Their blood is different, and losing a large amount of it is not as dangerous for them. Another distinctive feature is the three stripes on both of their cheeks—these are a type of gill-like structure that function as solar panels, absorbing ultraviolet light. This enables them to survive without traditional energy sources like food and water. However, they are still capable of consuming food and drink, though it serves more as a sensory indulgence rather than a necessity.
For example, Chili absolutely loves eating chili peppers, devouring them greedily. As you might guess, Cinnamon prefers cinnamon. These flavors are familiar to them from their home world.
But why were Chili and Cinnamon sent to the human world? As far the readers know they're for some sort of mission which is top secret.
One day, you will learn more details about their past and other mysteries from me. For now, stay tuned.

I have started recording when I work on my webtoon "Beneath the Camphor Tree" and I finally had an answer to how long an episode can take to make!
This episode was a little longer than usual at 40 panels, and to be completely honest it doesn't normally take only 11 hours to finish most episodes bc I get distracted very easily (lol thanks adhd) but! luckily recording my screen with OBS while I work on my episodes HAS been able to trick my ADHD into staying on task more efficiently due to not wanting to stop the recording in order to let myself get distracted AND not wanting to accidentally record something not related to making my webtoon 😅 So thankfully brains are apparently capable of being tricked into being functioning members of society lol

Under Prism Lore: Tulpa
I’ve been drawing a comic with a rather complex worldbuilding for a long time, but I’ve never written a clear summary in one place. I decided to fix this oversight, and here I’ll lay out all the nuances for those who want to learn more about the comic’s lore.
So, let’s start with the worldbuilding. I classify my story as urban fantasy, though the genre also leans towards the supernatural. In this world, which is mostly identical to our human world, there exist beings called tulpas. Tulpas are phantom entities that inhabit human consciousness since they lack bodies of their own. Essentially, they use humans as vessels and have been in a symbiotic relationship with them since the dawn of civilization. However, by the time the events of the comic take place, very few tulpas remain… for a certain reason that will be revealed later.
A key characteristic of tulpas is their pursuit of a specific goal, such as achieving world peace. They usually form a contract with humans and, in exchange, grant them abilities that tulpas themselves possess. These abilities are mostly psychic in nature, such as telepathy, mind-reading, or astral projection. However, mastering these abilities requires practice, and each individual learns at their own pace. A tulpa can only be seen by its host, and they can also jump from one host to another.
The only tulpa introduced in the comic so far is Emano. Almost nothing is known about them, and they don’t even reveal their goal (as if intentionally keeping it secret). Emano is always present with their hosts but rarely appears, usually only to make an odd comment or perhaps give advice. Their form vaguely resembles a human wearing a coat and a fedora, with a distinct wide grin that gives off an air of cunning. Everything else about their appearance is more abstract—there are no visible eyes or hands, and they have no legs, always seeming to float in the air. Another curious feature is the black-and-white braids that grow directly from under their hat. Their purpose is never explicitly mentioned in the comic, but as the author, I can say they were designed to symbolize Emano’s connection with their hosts. That’s why their number occasionally changes throughout the story.
Other tulpas will appear later in the story, but I won't reveal too much. I'll only say that Emano has a certain enemy.

This should match the cold, lonely, and somber feeling of the art.

I was so addicted to Rise Of Kingdoms a few months ago, don't ever play this game or it'll eat away your whole lifetime.
Anyway somehow I managed to draw Mulan during this time.
