A couple of years ago we were all terribly concerned about the fact that a lot of American high schools are assigning such crushing homework loads that some kids literally don't have enough time to eat or sleep (and all this in spite of the fact that there's no good evidence that assigning homework actually improves academic outcomes at the pre-university level), but now we're hearing stories about those same schools struggling to stop kids from using ChatGPT to write their essays and suddenly It's The Children Who Are Wrong. Like, do you think maybe there's a certain level of cause and effect in play here?

Penny Polendina (RWBY) Propaganda

Penny is a precious bean with a beautiful design, lovely freckles, badass floating swords that shoot lasers, and even gets to fly later on. The writers knew she would be too powerful to be kept alive and as a potential partner for their main character, so they killed her off, twice. If anyone deserves to win, it's this robotic cinnamon roll with a heart of gold.

Oooh what if you were a robot girl and had to keep the secret and didn't feel like you were a real person but the first person to find out is like "no that doesn't matter you're my friend" and it makes you feel so warm inside you believe her. Also you wind up involved in two different Nation destroying conspiracies against your will because people treat you like a tool to be used but you get to eventually reaffirm your personhood so utterly nobody could ever take that away from you. <3

Of course The Hex are gonna get somewhat freaked out by the Drifter, need I remind you that the Drifter grew old in a weird, parallel dimension created from a children’s book, or that they got executed over and over on the daily for who knows how long (probably from after the Zariman disaster), until the hand arrived and changed everything? And thats before the whole New War and Origin System things they’ve done
