Shoves aside everything that happened in the entire episode YOU KNOW IT KINDA MAKES SENSE THAT THE VAULTS EXIST OUTSIDE RWBY’S WORLD ENTIRELY AND ARE IN A SPACE WHERE THE (MAYBE) IN-UNIVERSE VERSION OF YGGDRASIL EXISTS

Very unsubtle of CRWBY to call the last episode “The Final Word” when we all know it’s gonna be “Love” anyway

Can I just say I really appreciate that we’ve all decided the only way we’re going to cope with waiting a fucking week for the next episode is via memes

I know Yang’s gonna survive but I’d still probably laugh my ass off if for the next episode it’s just RWB

Before anyone says dumb shit like “Yang’s gone/dead”
We have seen the gold effect while falling before, in the opening:
And all of RWBY is there with her. I love my dumb kids they’re all gonna dive into a void of literal nothingness to save their friend what the fuck

For Writers:
Reblog if it’s okay for your followers to leave you an ask telling you what the one thing is they remember you for as a writer. Is it a scene or a detail or a specific line? Is it something like style or characterization? Is it that one weird kink they never thought they’d be into, but oh my god wow self-discovery time?

What if Cinder gets stuck in the fast travel hell dimension and everyone’s wondering how they’re gonna get the relic now and Oz is just like “oh you don’t need a maiden to get into Beacon’s vault” and he pulls this from his old corpse instead

Actually I’m not fucking done with this because holy shit trust and love being shown in the risks someone takes has always been a theme in the show and I feel like a massive idiot BUT LET’S RUN DOWN HOW THIS APPLIES TO THE BEES BECAUSE I GOTTA STAY ON BRAND
Literally from Volume fucking 1 Blake and Yang have taken risks that involve trusting one another. They partner up despite the relatively cold and irritated interaction they shared the night before initiation. Blake, within hours of forming this partnership, gives her weapon, an extension of herself, to Yang without a moment of hesitation. It’s a risk she’s already willing to take.
And then in Volume 2, Yang takes another risk with confronting Blake about working herself to the point of exhaustion to try and find out what the White Fang are up to. She knows Blake might not react kindly to her attempts to talk things through, but she does it anyway because she cares about Blake.
Obviously, the best example in V3 is Yang risking her life to save Blake.
Volume 5 has both Blake and Yang taking the risks of being hurt all over again to accept one another back into their lives after all they’ve been through while they were apart.
V6 doubles down on those risks, with Yang and Blake still nervously dancing around their feelings for one another, but in times of crisis (notably the Apathy and against Adam), they both consistently take risks that would keep the other safe. Both of them grab pieces of the broken Gambol Shroud under the assumption that Adam will kill one of them if he gets there first.
And now, in V8, we’ve got Yang and Blake risking their feelings towards one another by taking different stances on how to best save Atlas; a risk that’s now resolved as of the current episode.
Hmmmm…….
“Trust Love”
“Trust is a risk”
