man she took forever but it was worth it!! decided to base of her off a porcelain Russian doll instead of a dummy since Franz Mahar made both puppets and dolls, dummies were clearly his favorite but I imagine he had a few variety of different living dolls/toys too since it’s hinted in the book “slappy’s evil twin” that he made a lot when he was lonely

kinda disappointed I didn’t get to finish all the dummies like I wanted before Oct but that’s not going to stop me from finishing the last three . . . so who’s next?

I know I’ll actively defend the 90s and especially 90s Goosebumps until I die but like the mid-late 00’s Slappy is honestly the best Slappy?

And he doesn’t get enough credit I swear! Look at this one he’s got his own rabbit plushie thing! This Slappy has the perfect balance of looking creepy but also looking like a kid throwing a tantrum. It perfectly illustrates how although his insults seem childish he’s actually very dangerous…

quick question have you ever played goosebumps dead of night is so, no one told me that in order to get slappy in his book you have to chuck a gnome at his face(3 gnomes to be exact) I feel so bad, they even smash on his face when you throw them at him😅

dude that has to be the most relatable thing ive read so far. i have played goosebumps dead of night (i actually have 3 clips of me playing the game on here, granted it is pretty much just me freaking out and getting stuck against a door, but... yeah) but i went in completely blind, so i had no idea what i was doing (i died so many times on that game)

i actually ended up finding out how to defeat slappy by complete accident because i picked up a gnome for fun, saw slappy and attempted to put the gnome down... ONLY FOR THE GNOME TO BE LAUNCHED ACROSS THE ROOM AND SMACK SLAPPY STRAIGHT IN THE FACE

i swear i was sat there for a good 5 minutes looking like the surprised patrick meme before slappy recovered and killed me again

WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS THAT SLAPPY HAS CONFIRMED IN MULTIPLE INTERVIEWS THAT THE GNOMES ARE HIS FAVOURITE

Hey guys ummm… this is kinda weird to type but is it ok if I can ask you guys for advice? (I’ve never typed something like this before, sorry if its long)

So, I’ve been writing a comic script for about 7 years now that I want to be published some day (no drawings, just the writing, my drawings aren’t good enough for publishing. I draw storyboards but like I said, not good enough for publishing, its more so I can experiment with different plots and if I want them in the script or not. It’s really fun, I like doing it). This script is my pride and joy, I’ve thought of all sort for it, characters, the world they live in, personalities, appearances, plot twists, the plot itself, you name it. I love typing the script and it is one of the only things that brings me pure joy and happiness nowadays.

A problem I’m having is… well, my family. My family is very much against me getting a job relating to art. They keep constantly saying comments like “how is art going to pay the bills?” or “you’ll get nowhere doing that”, etc. Hell, years ago, my mother asks me what I did today, ill tell her I drew a story board (some of my storyboard take hours to do) and be super proud of it, but then my mother will just look at me disappointed and say “… so barely anything then?” and ill just feel… sad. Its honestly gotten to the point where ill will think “oh, so, this isn’t something I should be feeling proud about then, I guess”. I haven’t felt proud of a storyboard since. I still draw them and I like doing it, I’m just less happy about it when I’m done and move onto the next.

the advice i’m asking for is: How do I convince my parents that drawing and writing isn’t “a waste of time”? I’m just sick of their comments.
