The point is not that they WANT to defy societal norms, but that their very existence comes as disruptive of societal norms - to be queer is to have been othered when it comes to your gender and sexuality; op was making a point on how aromantic people are absolutely valid and belong under the queer umbrella bc queerness is not defined by "love" :)

Final results! I will say, I was concerned by the amount of people thinking I put several provinces in there, I put ONE (Ontario, which is the province in which Ottawa, the actual capital is located) because while talking about wanting to make this poll with friends, one of them said "Is it Ontario?" and I figured more people might be under that impression- which was right since it got almost 10% of votes!

Although Quebec IS a province (home sweet home hehehe) in this poll I was referring to the city, which is the province’s capital! (Though I am genuinely baffled that Quebec received more votes than Montreal UH?? 😭)

Unsurprisingly after Ottawa, Toronto is in the lead, which I definitely expected since it’s one of the most known Canadians cities!

I’ve seen several Canadian in the poll going "whoops I voted Ottawa instead of "I am Canadian", which will has undoubtedly skewed the results a bit, but theyre are still interesting to see!

Tumblr! Saw a similar poll about Australia and thought doing a Canadian version would be fun so! (Please only vote if you’re not Canadian!)
