All I'm saying is that Pandora and Lily would absolutely hold their wedding by the tree where they carved their initials on the day they had their first kiss

Pandora: Everyone says you’re fire.
Lily: And you?
Pandora: I think you’re the sun. People forget it’s fire too, but it makes things grow. It saves things.

a quarter of your dates with a cowboy will turn into a take-your-partner-to-work day because something will go wrong somehow
James has been panicking about his relationship with Remus and qualifications for the job because in his case the quarter has turned into more than half and he can't figure out why
It takes 3 months and a drunken confession from Remus to find out that he's been paying Sirius to fuck things up just enough so he could get a show of James running, getting dirty, sweaty and carrying stuff every time he's showing him around
James reassures him that he's not mad, and he could've just tagged along during a regular work day
next day during breakfast Sirius proudly announces that he'd have done it for free, but the pocket change was nice

remus is sports obsessed. always fascinated by the athleticism, the science behind it all, the art in human form. not much of a player, to be honest, with his weak muscles and breakable bones. but he does know his way around the tactics and secrets of every game.
it's not a thing he's always talking about, nor is it obvious from his bookish looks and nerdy ways. so when regulus moves in with him, he's just surprised by it all.
there's always a tennis match on their tv, with remus murmuring stats like "he's got the fastest backhand on tour, 118 km/h." wednesday and tuesday nights are champions league nights. sunday mornings are filled with F1 around cups of tea. once, he watched confused as his boyfriend went on and on about ice hockey.
so within a couple of months living together, regulus picks up on remus's obsession. they have extensive conversations about the limits of the human body, how sportsmanship is a pillar for teenagers' upbringing, and the meaning of success or victory.
it's a sports-nerd and full-of-love household.

James making these custom keys for when he finally asks Remus to move in with him, because he's just so in love with his boyfriend, his moon, that he can't help wanting to make it special. And he would even say something so adorably cheesy like "now I can come back home to my moon every night".

Remus loves butterflies. He has loved butterflies ever since he was a child and Hope used to take him to the park when it was time for the Monarch bu to migrate, and the trees would tint black and orange, and Remus would sit on the grass so still so that the butterflies could find rest on his hair, his nose and his shoulders. He would get a little sad when it was time to go home, but even there he knew butterflies were around.
The Lupin’s family backyard was big enough for Hope to plant various fruits and vegetables, and she gave Remus his own corner of the garden for him to plant anything he wanted; Remus spent hours in the library with his nose buried in books, reading about the flowers that would attract butterflies. His garden salad, as he called it, was the perfect spot for these beautiful insects to spend some time.
Remus tends to ramble about the things he loves, and he told Regulus all about his childhood being surrounded by butterflies, and how he wanted a place with a garden big enough so that he could plant all the flowers that butterflies loved, just as he had when he was a kid. Regulus listened, enraptured by this beautiful boy and how passionately he spoke about the things he loved. The next day there was a gold necklace with a small butterfly pendant waiting for Remus on his usual seat, small orange diamonds encrusted in the wings glittered in the sunlight.
One time, Regulus had told Remus he had a surprise for him, and took him to a butterfly sanctuary. A big building filled with trees and flowers, and of course lots and lots of butterflies. They walked around the place hand in hand, and Remus would point at every single butterfly and spit facts about them, and Regulus’ heart would grow softer and softer for the boy. They stayed there for hours, taking a sit on one of the many benches scattered around the place and talked about everything and anything. Occasionally a butterfly or two would flutter over and rest on them. Regulus thought that he would build Remus his very own butterfly sanctuary just to see him smile as beautifully as he did that day.
The first house they bought was small but cozy. A cobblestone path lead to their door, that they had painted green. The inside was decorated with small trinkets everywhere, photographs hung on the walls, a slightly crooked bookshelf in the living room Remus had insisted on building himself, and a cabinet dedicated to Regulus’ ever growing mug collection. Their house also had an overgrown garden they spent weeks on cleaning and fixing; they bought an orange and lemon tree they planted right in the middle, bushes and plant were also added. And of course, Remus’ flower salad that attracted colorful butterflies as soon as it bloomed.
Remus grew up in a house filled with love, and butterflies. As he grew old, he was able to make a home filled with love, and of course, butterflies.

remus has sleepovers with hope where they get drunk on the prettiest cocktails she could find while sitting under a blanket fort, surrounded by every single pillow in the Lupin household and star-shaped fairy lights
Lyall is also included occasionally, and Regulus only found out when he knocked on the door for unrelated business and was met with his scary father-in-law wearing a feathery robe the color of his wife's eyes
Hope likes to get up when the movie they're watching includes a song and take someone dancing, Regulus almost cried the first time it was his turn and Remus, along with Lyall, had the most adoring, starstruck expression
honorable mention to the guest star of all time and Lyall's favorite child: Marlene McKinnon (it's nice to be free when no ones questions your gender for a pink drink)

Our house is a very, very fine house,
With two cats in the yard,
One insists on curling up in the folds of Regulus’ cashmere blanket like it was bought just for her, while the other follows Remus from room to room like a small, devoted shadow. They rarely argue, except over who gets to pick the dinner music, but it never really matters; they always end up dancing in the kitchen anyway. Regulus’ laughter echoes through the room as he watches Remus try to move with his too-long limbs, clutching the cat to his chest when she nudges his feet, her tiny black paw held gently in his large hand as he twirls her in some odd, affectionate version of ballroom dancing. It hurts Regulus a little, years of perfect lessons, of standing straight and moving just right, but this kind of dancing, with laughter and soft chaos, feels better than anything he was ever taught. There are always half-finished cups of tea left on bookshelves, paint smudges drying on the old wood floors, and a green mug in the shape of a frog that Regulus swears isn’t his, and yet only uses that one to drink his morning tea. (it is, Remus bought it when he saw Regulus looking at it with a lopsided smile on one of their first dates).
Life used to be so hard, Regulus had forgotten what it meant to be looked at softly, to be let in gently, to be loved with the kind of patience that doesn’t flinch when the past knocks at the door. But Remus never locks it. He just opens the door, pulls him in by the wrist, kisses the storm and the seeping cold out of his bones. He never knew he can just put his head on someone's lap and close his eyes for five minutes as the soft afternoon light filters through the window, but Remus' gentle hand carding through his hair so so softly never fails to remind him of what love is.
Now everthing is easy because of you.
Because of sleepy mornings and oversized sweaters. Because of the way Remus reads aloud when Regulus is painting, his glasses slipping down his nose despite his grumbling whenever Regulus teases him about “looking forty at twenty-eight,” his feet snug in lumpy, misshapen socks Hope helped him knit for Christmas. Because Regulus makes Remus his favorite coffee every Sunday morning, even while complaining about the beans. Because the hallway walls are lined with polaroids, and the fridge always has a note that says, "Don’t forget, I love you. P.S. Take your vitamins, love!!" Because Remus will come home with a bouquet of flowers and a shy smile on his face every five days and Regulus will take the wilting ones out of the green vase on their coffee table while his husband lights the fire to warm their living room.
Their house is filled with the softest kind of magic, not the kind you cast, but the kind you choose, again and again, with each morning and every quiet night.
Together.

Lily: I love plans. I love lists. I love order.
Pandora: I love vibes. I love chaos. I love letting the wind decide where I go.
Lily: So how do we work?
Pandora: You’re the structure. I’m the sparkle.

Regulus who goes to the same plant nursery every week because he wants to see the pretty worker with the soft wavy brown hair and pretty smile, who looks so cute and sexy even though he’s always wearing the standard forest green overalls all employees wear.
And Regulus knows a good deal about plants, he loves reading about them, especially if he’s planning on bringing another one home. Oh, but he loves acting so clueless as he walks to the pretty boy, Remus, his nametag says, with his hands around the poor plant he overwatered for that week and asking for help because, “I don’t know what happened! I thought I was doing a great job and suddenly she got all yellow and sad”, and oh yes, he even does a little pout as he flutters his eyelashes.
Remus, oh so kind and patient Remus, softly laughs and explains to Regulus that he’s been overwatering (on purpose, Regulus mentally adds) his poor plant, but that if he leaves it out in the sun for a day or two, it should dry up the soil so that he can start watering as instructed. Regulus half listens, his mind deviates from the topic and he’s suddenly thinking of, if he grabs Remus’ hand and tugs him towards the tool shed behind him, would he let Regulus suck him off?
It takes another week for Regulus’ daydream to become reality. Yes, Remus does let him suck him off in the tool shed, he even gets fingered in return. And, he leaves the plant nursery with a phone number scribbled on a piece of paper, a weekend date, and a new lavender plant.
