Hello everyone~

Very long time, no talk. ^^;

I’m sure that this has been implied by my absence, but I wanted to make it more official and hopefully grant anyone that may be holding out for me some closure: I have retired from writing kpop fanfiction and I will not be completing any of my unfinished works. My account will remain active because there are people and content creators here that I genuinely love and appreciate, and want to continue following. And also because although I no longer have as much as an interest in kpop as I once did, I still think of my former work with great fondness.

Thank you to everyone that enjoyed my writing, it was fun while it lasted! ♡

I will be creating a new account where I write anime fics (the anime trash has returned from whence it came) so if you have any interest in that feel free to drop me a dm.

as for giving feedback, please don’t feel scared to tell writers how much you love their work or how much you’re enjoying their stories! 🥺💕some writers may be rude, sure—i know i’ve had my moments—but there’s just a lot of frustration with feeling validated as writers and feeling like our hard work is pointless. so a brief PSA to readers: please keep this in mind when you’re considering sending writers an ask about when our next updates for so-and-so fics are. it does nothing to pressure us and it also doesn’t necessarily show your support to us. and please REBLOG to show your love. that “like” button is meaningless and only serves as a bookmark. you’re not helping your fave writers in any way by clicking that heart button. (is this me being rude? sorry, not sorry.)

He existed without hesitation. He never deviated from his goal. He was not one to concern himself with the multitude of other paths because he was always calculated in his choices, never questioning that his had been the most direct, the most logical, the best. He didn’t dwell on the past, nor on future consequences. Come what may, he was always a constant pillar of confidence. 

This was unlike him. This feeling of doubt, the reluctance, the uncertainty. His footsteps slapped the wet pavement insistently, betraying his mounting discomfort as he stumbled through the downpour. He knew you weren’t far ahead, he could feel it, but something told him he shouldn’t have let you out of his sight for this long; something felt off. 

He rounded a corner, and for the first time in what was surely centuries he felt shock coursing through his veins. There you were, eyes sharp and trained directly on his, one arm raised threateningly, your shaking fist clutching a...croissant? 

Minseok swore his eyebrows touched his hairline in that moment. 

“W-what do you want with me? You’ve been following me for blocks now. Don’t come any closer!” Your voice shook in time with your hands, fire dancing in your irises despite the visible fear etched in your flesh in the form of an army of goosebumps. The man’s eyes were black as night with all of the twinkling of a thousand stars dancing in them. You watched as they regarded you, slowly moving up your arm to stare at the pastry you were brandishing.

“...Are you threatening me with that piece of bread?”

Author’s Note: I wrote this in July of 2018, right before I saw Monsta X in SF, and it has been sitting in my drafts since then. I just re-worked it a little and I think it’s finally ready to let it see the light of day. I hope someone out there enjoys it. ♡ 

A large plume of dense magenta smoke was billowing from your cauldron, smelling strongly of pine needles. You fanned at it eagerly, trying to ignore the dread creeping into the pit of your stomach as you recoiled from the pungent odor.

‘Pine needles? Isn’t it supposed to smell like flowers….?’ You thought to yourself as you glanced at the open spellbook by your side for confirmation.

The jewel-tone clouds finally started to dissipate and you chewed on your lower lip as you peered nervously into the depths of your cauldron, silently praying your hard work hadn’t been been for naught.

In the bottom of the large metal bowl was a substance reminiscent of tar in both consistency and color, bubbling ominously.

“No, no. This isn’t right at all.” You muttered darkly to yourself, your fingernails digging grooves into your palms from how tightly your fists were clenched with frustration. 

This was your third attempt at a particularly complex potion to mimic feelings of love and you were at your wit’s end trying to figure out what exactly you were doing wrong. 

This wasn’t a love potion in the sense that it made someone else fall in love with you: It was a potion that made you feel all of the warmth, the fullness, the contentedness of loving and being loved in return. It was happiness in a bottle, so to speak, and much like the feeling was difficult to describe so was it to replicate.
