If you're one of those G1 monster high fans who constantly shits on G3 for fatphobic, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, and racist reasons, get the fuck off my page!

I am a G3 lover. There is is much more representation now and it means the world to me that kids now have that. When I was little I would have loved to watch a cartoon or play with dolls with this kind of rep. I would have loved to see an episode about a cartoon character being autistic just like me. I would have LOVED to see a non-binary character. I would have loved to see queer relationships.

I was raised to accept everything and be who I am no matter what. By my parents, and by monster high. "Be yourself. Be unique. Be a monster." They didn't have that slogan for nothing. Hating on the show/dolls because of plus sized characters like catty noir proves the original show didn't get it's point across well enough for you. G1 had racist stereotypes too. Some G1 fans are completely blinded by nostalgia to how problematic some aspects of old monster high. Just let the old ghouls rest in peace, and enjoy what we have now.

On top of all of that, we haven't been the target audience in years! This is a show made for young kids. If you don't like it, it's not meant for you! That doesn't mean it's a bad show.

I gonna be real fucking stupid here cuase like a month ago I was complaining about g3 ss4 clawdeen with braid relaxed thing. But why does there have to be g1 v g3. Okay you like g1 I do to it's nice I grew up with it however there are a lot of issues eg: the body being only one skinny mold, glue seepage, at times horrible fabrics, and bad or supar hair fibre mixes. Like g1 wasn't the most amazing thing ever. Like g1 Clawdeen and Cleo were voiced by the same white women, there would be nothing wrong with that if both chacters weren't POC or MOC (Monsters of colour).

g3 still has some issues like the poly problem, unleaded details and wonky screening being a little to common. However both gens have something good going for them. Like g1 cool chacter concepts, great at queercoding (Wether intentional or not) and was able to explain tough and complex topics for a young audience. G3 has great autism rep and other desirable rep from main chacters, pretty cool designs for the most part, cool non villain explicitly queer chacters and a big improvement on the varying body types. It's really nice and refreshing. Can we stop dicks to each other and not shame each other.

I love boo York boo York so much I just rematched it and there is this headcannon cooking in my up in my brain for so long. There is a couple I have.

So like Catty (g1) is queer coded in my mind. Like "search inside" is just almost like her figuring out that she is somewhere on the ase-spectrum. I am kinda projecting a little bit due to like being queer and this song a comfort for me during my figuring out my queer identity. However, I still believe that she is an ase icon, especially when "love is like a storm" came before that.

It's another stupid thing for me to be like Oh that song is also queer coded but to me it also is. Like that whole song just feels like the some queer people might see love around them. Her comparing love to floods, rain, hurricanes and obviously a storm (duh). It feels very queer coded and I'm probably just comming a across as everyone is queer but like come on. The stuff is right there.

Also my like next headcannon has like evidence behind it other then. I'm a trans man with mummy issues so, he is a trans man with mummy issues. Pharaoh is a trans man in my mind. like I have a very VERY similar relationship to my mum, to way his relationship with my mum. Also the "everybody calls me by old name" line actually hits me hard cause honestly same.

Like I love her but who in the design room is doing her dirty like this. I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything else though. The colours are so pretty the outfits are cute and I love the platform ballerina shoes but I just can't with the hairstyle.

I love Monster high but i have something i just need to complain about but its more to do with mattel.

So mid last year i got a Frankie skulltament secrets wave 1 doll and their painted on scars are chipping away, and a less important but as annoying slightly asymmetrical screening. I also cut their hair but I don't regret that.

Anyway thank you for reading my complaints and remember it's not just lagoona. I hope that I'm not going crazy with this cuase it annoys me a lil cuase when I got them; I had to pay like $50-$60 since I'm in Australia. (My phone camera isn't great but i didnt wanna not have photos to go with my lil rant.)

I hope one day we can see some g2 characters get a second chance. Like as forgettable as the movies and horrible the dolls were. There are some characters from g2 that i feel would do well in g3. Like Raythe, Ari Huntington, Silvia Timberwolf and Moanica M'day. There are also others but u cant think of them off the top of my head.

I g3 isn't as bad as everyone makes out its really cute. I like the frankie and Cloe thing it makes sense in my mind especially from a love triangle point of view. We have had Cleo and Deuce, then we had frankie and Duece; and now we have frankie and cleo. Not to mention Frankie being non-binary is really cool. I have seen ppl talk about how it sucks that Clawdeen and Dracluara aren't a thing but like as much as I like it in concept it just wouldn't feel as full circle I guess. I dont think it would be the same. However I still have problems with it but thats mainly all to do with mattel and how they have handled past things.

Anyway now my car in the middle of my Monster high playset.
