Hi, just checking in to be sure you’re alright -Persephone (@corviknight-appreciator)
Oh, hello Persephone! I'm fine- sorry if I worried you by not being very active lately. It turns out I'm not the best at maintaining an actual blog, especially when pokemon league stuff is happening!
Thanks for checking in though- how're things with you?

On behalf of the Malie City Library, I would like to say: please never feel ashamed to bring a damaged book back to us. It happens.
And it's also likely far from the worst thing we've seen. I remember the book this one trainer brought in... their Popplio had used Water Gun on the book for some reason, and froze it with Ice Beam in a panic to try and dry it out. And then the trainer's Salandit got the bright idea to try to defrost it with Ember...
Yeah. We wind up totaling out a lot of books here.

Oh wow! I'm proud of Naboris, she looks to have improved so much since the last video I saw of her dancing. You were great too, Urbosa, and the two of you sync with the music very well! And performing in front of an audience, even a small one, that takes some guts.
[A video is attached. The group, along with Fantina, are inside a building with a small stage, empty besides them.
"We can start as soon as you would like, Urbosa!" Fantina beams, clapping her hands together.
Zelda looks back at the small rows of seats behind them. "So, we can just... take a seat anywhere?"
"Oui, just follow me."
Urbosa heads backstage to prepare Naboris, and after some moments of inactivity, Rotom beeps and ends the video.]
[Rotom caption: "Oughghh I'm so excited, bzt!!"]

For anyone who might need to hear it today: this is your reminder that your skill in pokemon battles has nothing to do with your worth as a person. You have intrinsic worth and value regardless of whether you're a Champion or someone who's never won a battle in their life or something in between, and I'm proud of you for coming this far.

Yeah! Also their evolution method is... a bit quirky, but actually pretty fun! If you spin around with them while they hold certain types of special sweets, they evolve! The flavor they become depends on which sweet they use to evolve, the direction they spin and... the time of day I think? It's more complicated than you'd expect, but very cool!
It's kind of boring on here without anyone to talk to... how do I make internet friends?

Oh, I have lots!
[A picture is attached. A Ruby Swirl Alcremie looks very focused on chatting to a Wooloo. The Wooloo has icing on its front paw where Alcremie presumably stuck to it a bit.]
[A picture is attached. The same Alcremie and a Sirfetch'd are standing side by side. The Sirfetch'd is holding her leek sword, arm outstretched, and the Alcremie is copying her, except instead of a sword, she's brandishing a whisk that's about as tall as she is, and looks a little like she may be about to drop it. There's a large mixing bowl in the background.]
[A picture is attached. The same Alcremie is standing on an Obstagoon's head, holding a small piece of Pecha Berry over her head, about to throw it into a nearby pot of curry.]
It's kind of boring on here without anyone to talk to... how do I make internet friends?

From what I've seen it's less intriguing and more terrifying. Then again, this site is filled with horrors sometimes. Either that or memes.
And yeah, I'm Nim! Or, that's what I go by online anyway.
Pelipper mail for Ikol! (OOC: from Twilight at @the-fluffiest-trainer)
An envelope, faintly rose-scented, decorated around the borders with fractal, crystalline patterns. Inside is a letter on ornate letterhead, addressed to Ikol and with today's date. The text of the letter is written in very fancy yet readable calligraphy, clearly written by an actual quill and ink rather than a pen.
The letter reads:
"Bitch."
The letter is not signed.
...Well. That was certainly unexpected. How does that bird know how to write?
You had it coming, honestly. Brendan don't look.
weh?
oh i doubt the Pelipper wrote it. that's Pelipper mail. there's a mail system where the Pelipper deliver mail all across the multiverse if you're connected to rotomblr.
Interesting. I... am slightly curious about the intricacies of that process, actually.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone actually knows how Pelipper mail works. And reblogging pictures of Pelipper doesn't help figure it out, I know from experience.
I should warn you to be careful with it though... people have actually gotten kidnapped through Pelipper Mail. thankfully I haven't head of that happening in a little while (and not sure how much you can do to stop it if it does, to be honest. my best plan was just having food Pelipper likes to distract it or something). But yeah, be aware.

okay, the gym leader of Ballonlea really did not like that last one.
listen, one of the other kids wanted to include you and all the other gym leaders in the mural! maybe we can focus on the positive here?
An incomplete list of ideas the kids of Stow-On-Side have for a new mural:
"a bunch of Pikachu"
"all the gym leaders!!"
"a pretty sky filled with curry ingredients"
"Gigantamax Charizard"
"no, Gigantamax Machamp!"
"no, Giganta-mix Curry!"
"i'm fine with whatever... but it would be great if... if we built in spaces for ghosts to hide!"
"Hatsune Miku"
"your Intelleon!" (he immediately ducked out of sight after hearing that)
"can we just throw paint at the wall?"
"one of those optical illusion things that it looks like there's a hole in the wall or something"
"a mural of Copperajah wrecking the last mural!"

Hatsune Miku would be a pretty cool mural idea though…
You're right! Especially since I've seen some very cool art of her in a fighting-type style outfit with a Sirfetch'd, which is a known pokemon of the gym leader here!
Me? No, I'm not biased toward Sirfetch'd *hides my Sirfetch'd behind a tree* That's definitely not a leek sword, just a tree branch.
But tbh classic Miku would be great too!

Honestly I'm still trying to figure this out myself. So far all I've got is just start taking to people and maybe something will stick!
(This is also how my Alcremie befriends other pokemon, which she's very good at, but with her, the "something will stick" is literal.)

Nice, good for her!
Hello! You're the deicide person, right? Nim's mentioned you, I think they may have been worried about you, but then again, they get worried about a lot of things. Not that there's a problem with that. Just sometimes I worry about them.
Anyway, I completely agree that sometimes gods do need some butt-kicking, especially when they're causing trouble! But also, consider this~
[Attached is a picture of a Giratina in its origin form curled up on a fluffy pink blanket. It's wearing an award ribbon which someone familiar with Sinnoh Contests would recognize as the prize for winning a Master Rank cuteness contest. It looks tired but content.]
Sometimes nice gods also just need a warm place to nap!
- Miri
Yeah, I am rotomblr’s token deicide advocate. And… I’m sorry I worried Nim that much. I didn’t mean to.
And if the gods don’t suck then they don’t have to be killed. It’s just that they need to prove they don’t suck first. I assume that ribbon is for not sucking? If so then nice.

To answer your question, Persephone, I guess that winning a contest makes does make it less likely that you suck? I know very little about contests, but they do seem to require a strong bond between trainer and pokemon, and any god who's willing to put in the time to grow that bond - who doesn't just use humans - can't be so bad.
Also, wait a minute... Ren, are you implying there's someone else in the multiverse besides her who's trained a Giratina for a cuteness contest? Haha, brilliant! For all the horrors that repeat across universes, I'm glad some silly fun things like that do too.

Hi Nim! It's Miri from... well, you know where. This site is fascinating! Reminds me of the time I took my phone into the Distortion World and was able to somewhat unreliably connect to one (1) alternate universe. But this site has connected even more of them, it's amazing! Although it does seem like this whole anonymous ask thing really brings out the worst in people. I think this whole place needs a bit of cheering up, maybe!
Anyway, it's always good to talk to you, and thanks for telling me about this! Hope things are going alright for you, and good luck with training!
Oh, hi Miri! I'd suggest getting an online alias, but I guess it's too late for that now. Probably doesn't matter anyway, because I'm not sure anyone on this site is actually in our universe. But still. I like to be safe.
...I'm not even sure I want to know about the Distortion World thing, but do be careful, okay? And yeah, you're certainly right about that. People can be bloody awful here, and I suppose trying to spread a little bit of joy is sometimes the best you can do in the face of all that. Sometimes it's the little things that matter a lot.
Thanks! Right now I'm putting together a list of moves to look into teaching my pokemon, which I guess you could consider "training", but I'll likely do some more active training over the next few days when I head to Stow-on-Side to finalize plans for the new mural. Which is pretty exciting!
