In Tagalog Mythology, Mayari is the most beautiful goddess of moon, hunt, war, and revolution and she is the daughter of Bathala the supreme god. She lost one eye after a battle with her brother, Apolaki the sun god because she fought for equality and ruled the earth every night.

Hi, Kuya! I just watched the episode of MMK featuring your story and I was inspired by it. Your art is also amazing! I couldn’t shake the thought though, was the hashtag “Hear No Sadness” a reference to the musical “Spring Awakening”? I know it may seem like a stretch, but a character in that story sings a song titled “Don’t Do Sadness”. There was a production of the musical that incorporated American Sign Language. Was this a happy coincidence? Thank you for your time!

Hi! thank you so much!! I don’t know if it is based on this song but there’s a famous quote by three wise monkey saying, “See no evil, Hear no evil,   Speak no evil”. That’s why they replaced word, Evil into Sadness, I think. Anyway, I heard that Spring Awakening is so great though but I don’t know where to find full version in video. :D

I can't believe how fast it happened lately! I am happy to tell why I am so proud of being deaf at the right time. I believe that everyone who are disabled like me are also capable of doing anything including loving other people. When we focus on the possibilities, we will have more opportunities. Everyday we face the challenges that seem impossible for us but we can push ourselves beyond the limitation. We want to prove that disability will never hinder our progress because we work hard on what we deserve to be best and we choose happiness despite of this. I am survivor. I suffered many experiences of discrimination and judgment. I struggle to survive and shout to the world that I can be heard and no longer ignored. But I believe in myself that I am still breathing and alive, thanks to my achievements and success. It gives me hope to enjoy my life every day. I wander around and sometimes normal people make me seem unfit in society. I just live differently from them. I can hear the spark in my inner voice to speak for who I am without shame. It becomes fireworks. I know I am extraordinary and special. Please don’t pity on the deaf community because we also have pride. Something that we celebrate is to make the difference and to put the effort in achieving what we love and living through daily struggle. We are longing for the inclusion and acceptance. With all my heart, there's no other word to explain how grateful I am to have family and friends that meant to me very much and they are always here for me to keep me alive forever. The world is full of wonderful things like them and the more I'd appreciate this! Inktober 2018 Cake When I finally accomplished the drawing prompt challenge, Inktober last month and I was so delighted to ink an actual cake for the first time in my life since I was kid. Making a inked cake is worth the effort! I baked a cookie and cream cake with chocolate ganache based on Cadbury Oreo chocolate. Bunny Cactus and Buff Cactus

I did art collab with my friend, @recyclebean that we had to draw our cool cactuses because I immediately fell in love with his cactus and also I thought it would be cool sidekick with my cactus. In real life, his cactus has "bunny ears" and mine is buff with "little muscle arms".
