Ok, but I'm still going insane because tr!Lukey turns out was part of the original Kingdom that fell because of the Corruption.

He was lab partners with Newt, who was not wearing dark robes during that entire memory.

He knew Alpha. Alpha was grieving Beta's death. There was a funeral. Alpha was losing their mind due to their losses and the Corruption.

He wanted the Corruption's crystals to get answers. The kingdom members were dying in mass, and quickly, and he wanted to take the risks with both Corruption AND Skulk to find a solution.

Maybe he did something he shouldn't have. But we don't know for certain until we get more pieces of the puzzle.

But now, tr!Lukey took the corrupted crystals from tr!Pangi's house and a Skulk block. He's determined to take the risks to find the cure once again. He will save his newfound Outworlder friends. He will try his darn best to find whatever he found out before. He promised tr!Aimsey he would.

So after last night’s revelations about Lucas the Keeper getting super involved in the corruption back before the original Kingdom fell to it, and the knowledge that Newt was Lucas’ research partner (and probable bed partner, let’s be real), it really does make sense why Newt doesn’t want trLukey involved with ANYTHING regarding the skulk and the corruption. Lucas’ curiosity got the better of him, and it seems like he suffered for potentially hundreds of years in the Null because of it.

Lukey is curious to the point of self-detriment. He knows the Corruption is bad, but he still took some from trPangi’s house to research. He eavesdrops on conversations in invis without armor so he can have a potential leg up in any future debates.

He took the Corruption from Pangi’s house.

In the past, 2500 citizens of the Kingdom had already fallen to the various calamities. This is when Lucas seemingly decided to take action and conduct illegal research into the skulk and the corruption to try and keep people from dying.

Last night, trAimsey showed surprise that Lukey was worried about them: Aimsey, and Pangi (not Sneeg tho, rip.) But, really, that’s what the basis of Lukey’s character is. He cares too much. He’s curious because he cares. He doesn’t need to know somebody to care about them when they’re obviously suffering, because caring is what he does best.

Lukey cares too much, and it may have led to disastrous consequences in the past. It may continue doing so in the present, too, but only time will tell.

Pain of memories

OK angst thought I just had. That last memory implies that Lukey was around before the original dragon fight that caused the Keepers to become corrupted. (The mention of Betas funeral and Newt wearing armour, not robes.)

So, with him gaining his memories back, will Lukey eventually remember how it felt to be taken over by the corruption. Will he remember how it felt to be twisted by the corruption the same way Pangi is now being taken over by it.

How horrible would it be to remember the pain you and your "friends" once went through and now you have to watch as it happens to another "friend". All while you are desperately trying to remember everything in your past searching for some clue as to the cure.

One thing I haven't seen a lot of discussion about regarding the fight in the last episode is that with Orym ending Opal it leans into the fear of him being responsible for stopping his friends. Repeatedly during the campaign, it has been said or implied to Orym that if the worst happens - Imogen going dark, Delilah taking control of Laudna etc.. - that it is his duty to kill them. Now even though it wasn't really Opal he made that choice to end his friend.

I do wonder if we'll get a discussion about what happened next episode especially if Dorian will confirm to them that that is what Opal currently looks like and the potential of having to face her down.

None of us are prepared for what is going to happen. As both a Crow and Huevito, I am loving the build up of tension and all the theorising happening.

A perfect summary of the insanity that has been this server from the get go and the past lore of the characters shaping how they act on the island. I love the dynamic between Fit and Phil.

God qsmp is so much fun actually, I feel like I've never even seen people talk about this (although it's probably just that I've forgotten)

Just. April 5th, 2023. Phil goes out to collect materials and flowers for Chayanne, ends up on some sort of "Heavenly" airship with S-tier loot. Would have systematically ransacked the entire thing if it weren't for the mysterious sound of fireworks that first notified him that something was up.

Ends up being hunted all the way home, by this code-monster, this flying entity with elytra and poisoned arrows and gear that easily outpaces the iron that Phil's been able to scrounge up. Phil literally calls it a god multiple times. By all accounts, it might be: it's mysteriously connected to the eggs, it's OP, it's terrifying.

And yet.

and yet it's the code-monster that dies once immediately after Phil first sees it. phil barely loses more than a few hearts to it, discovers it's egg-like origin mid-fight, simply evades most of its projectiles to meet up with Fit. A God, made from the very code of the server, should be terrifying.

Unless, of course, you're Philza the hardcore player, and the world you walk in has always been the only thing that can kill you, so it doesn't scare you anymore. The man with the wings, it's really just embarassing that the code would die by landing too hard.

Or if you're Fit, who made an enemy out of an entire anarchist server by documenting it for the bigger audience, who is used to seeing the wildest weapons get thrown his way. And isn't hesitant to throw them right back. It's not his problem the code couldn't take what it was giving out.

Right from the get-go, the island is as unprepared for who have landed here, as the players are for what the island has in store for them.

something something how he treats pac’s letter different than the others because he’s his boyfriend, and even though the message is the same, reacts differently because it’s definitive proof that someone he loves, loves him back, gave him a meaningful gift, wrote him a letter even though he couldn’t wake up, the letter more than enough for him to be fine with his absence in the party because it’s from his boyfriend

idk thinking about the birthday party today and just . when ramon first brought up fits birthday ages ago i don’t remember exactly what stream it was but he told ramon that he would be happy with it being just the two of them . it took him a while to agree with ramon about inviting pac .

thinking about how today and how so many people showed up - like bad and phil weren’t even streaming, luzu was going to come but had to leave early, and pac left him a fucking trident of all things when he couldn’t make it . literally everyone online and their eggs showed up . dapper logged in after the party had started to show up !

i genuinely don’t think fit understood until today how much the others on the island actually cared about him . he STILL probably doesn’t fully understand . like he was even telling ramon that they don’t need to take up anyone’s time because they were planning on doing a dungeon (which was actually his party butttt he didn’t know that) DURING it .

idk and i KNOW there were some extremely emotional letters but empanada’s hit hard . thank you for protecting me but let us protect you sometimes too . i hope you feel as loved as you are .
