Spencer: It’s easy when you’re downing dollar hot dogs in ripped jeans in Brooklyn.

Caleb: The fact that you don’t have a problem with that is proof enough.

Spencer: I try my best to cover my spoiled roots.

Caleb: You do a good job.

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: Not, like, a movie theater one. But we have a movie room and a projector screen.

Caleb: I was about to feel like I didn’t know you at all.

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: Maybe next time they’re out of town we’ll crash there. Watch movies on the projector.

Caleb: You have a projector?

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: I was 13. It was a very different situation.

Caleb: 13 usually is.

[calebonb]

Spencer: It was certainly a first for them. But we got our way in the end.

Caleb: See? You can fight for what you want.

Spencer: This was before you were even around. Melissa and I both stood our ground and refused. It was a rare moment of unity for us.

Caleb: I bet your parents had no idea what to do.

Spencer: You’d be surprised. My parents tried to give me one.

Caleb: Yeah. To keep you away from guys like me.

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: I’ll tell them you’re my bodyguard.

Caleb: They’ll never believe that.

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: No, but when I was little I spent more time in there than I did my room.

Spencer: Maybe one day I'll take you to the penthouse and you can see it in person.

Caleb: Will you security even let me through the door?

Spencer: It is pretty huge.

Spencer: My closet at home is probably bigger than my entire apartment.

Caleb: And your apartment is twice as big as mine. Do you ever get lost in your closet?

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: I mean, it’s my parents house. It’s just like anyone else’s childhood home they never go to.

Spencer: Just, you know. As a penthouse in Manhattan.

Caleb: I just meant it’s huge.

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: That I wear. I keep the rest of them at my parents.

Caleb: Sometimes I forget you have a huge place you just never go to.

[calebonb]

Spencer: I still don’t want my every move monitered on social media and blogs, talking about my shoes instead of my policies.

Caleb: To be fair, you only have like three pairs of shoes.

[calebonb]

fifteen.

Spencer: She’ll make a great Senator’s wife on the other side of the country and my parents can focus on grooming her instead of me for the life of politics they want for us.

Caleb: I still say I’d rather vote for you.

[calebonb]

Spencer: February. Three months left before she’s officially out of my hair and moving to California with her betrothed.

Caleb: Aw. I hope you put that in the card.
