Santa Cla– I mean, Grandpa Elminster brought a long-waited chair for one tired grandpa.

I know that Withers is an undead god and all, but still. He has been standing in camp so long and no one even bothered to offer him a seat. How rude.

P.S. - 26 frames, even though it took a month to draw them and they do not differ that much from each other, - I still think I’ve done a pretty good job. *pat-pats myself* And with each new animation I finish, my power grows >:)

Happy New Year to all of you!

I've decided that it's not good to leave you all without a gift, so I’ve decided to open my requests.

More precisely, I have a little “villainous plan” to combine reference-study practice for me and turn this into something pleasant for all of you.

I would like to practice working with references, backgrounds and lighting, so this is not a full-fledged “work from scratch” type of requests. I'll attach a couple of examples here.…

I plan to take 10-12 characters – just enough for the year (also if there are fewer of them it would be fine, and if there are more - we'll see).

SO If you what to take a part in this, the conditions are simple:

During this January (up to 31st of January, 2025) you can send a picture of your character (OC or fandom,whichever) in the ask/submission or in the reblogs of this post;

1) No more than one request per person (you can send more, but I'll only choose one anyway);

2) It is advisable to send pictures of the character in full height and in color, or at least the most with addition of most approximate example (body / color palette, etc. ... because if there is only sketch, then I’ll make the final drawing in grayscale); for fandom characters you can also include names/works they are from so I can get references myself;

3) If you want, you can send song-recs or playlists associated with your character, for vibes.

✨🎄✨Well, it's time to summarize the year, I think.✨🎄✨

My Inner Critic says ‘’Bull shit!” …that it wasn't all that successful of a year in terms of drawing, BUT it certainly wasn't my worst one either. Yes, there was less time and stamina for drawing as much as I wanted, but ... I definitely Leveled-up a little, especially in animation, and also improved in digital coloring (albeit just a bit) + and I've drawn quite a few fanarts with the best Grandpa Ever (oh yes Withers, I’m looking at you), and I'm ready to draw even more of him. In general, I think that this year's going as smooth as it could be. Slow, but smooth.

My new year resolution… is to continue to suffer with animation and editing programs, because it's about time for me to really learn how to animate. And, of course, procrastinate less (impossible) and learn to focus on one task at a time… again. Yeah, there’s not that many points in this list, but I assure you, it’ll definitely take me a whole year to finish them all.

And now, to the most important part…

I wanna say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support me and likes and reblogs my rare posts. You are all absolutely wonderful!!! And may you all stay well, secure and happy in the new year! Welp, in reblogs some people asked me about the spider, so here's my little star. 

Aaaand, unfortunately, I must say right away that I bought it kinda from a fellow at a con, so can't tell the name of the shop where it would be ready-made. BUT. I found the original 3d model here and it's open priced.

The vampire post.

I managed to get sick at the beginning of the month, and in a fever delirium I suddenly felt an urge for hot chocolate, crackling of the fireplace and some old-school quests. So, I came across A Vampyre Story (2008) and it was just what I wanted >w<. I will warn you that this is a very niche game («2000’s quest» niche) and it’s better to play it if you’re already in a mood for the right atmospheric nostalgia strike).

Well, the picture is my little tribute to Mona (main hero) and all the unfortunate NPCs and Iron Maidens… whom she definitely should have turned and taken with her, because they all deserve something better (however, this is just my personal thoughts).

P.S. - and in the lower left corner there is a fan version of Mona as the head of a new vampire clan.

It has been a relatively quiet week, so I have been drawing and trying to combine the sketches into something more.

By the way, I suddenly realized how little Destard’s understanding of romance and marriage could be. He lacks feelings similar to those of higher organisms, and only has two states - comfort and discomfort. Instead, he has a set of rules and patterns of behavior that he follows in order to simulate a "normal person", which allows him to stay in the "comfort" state for as long as possible.

After Blanca became a new member of the family, Dest respected, protected her and showed interest in what she liked - because this was his "Family behaviour", but it still takes him a long to adapt to a new person. At the beginning of their relationship, any interaction between them was one continuous period of awkwardness, silence and misunderstanding. Sometimes, he would stare blankly into space or into book for hours, completely ignoring everyone, until Blanca spoke to him. When she did, he would immediately change. A friendly smile, gestures, and facial expressions would appear, along with a responsive reaction to her conversation - all of which looked good. But if you looked closer, you could see that his overfocus on Blanca's words, his gestures were repetitive, and he often averted his gaze as if following a timer. What made Blanca even more nervous was the way he quickly returned to his "empty" state after she finished talking.

It’s October and I have an unexpected crossover for it – two of my favorite games and two of my favorite grandpas, who get a lil bit lost and mixed up their crypts.

A nostalgia post. It's been a long time since I've drawn Meteora, and for much longer I've had an old idea related to her, namely, a decoration for tails. A long time ago, I often came across "chapters in the book of spells" that various authors did on behalf of their OCs in the SVTFOE au’s. I wanted to try it too, but nothing really worked. The title picture, poem, spells and wands did not give me much in terms of inspiration and only when I came across the idea of a diary and monsters’ tails did I strike gold.

Sadly, in another fit of self-criticism, I abandoned this project half-way through and only recently found the strength to return to it again.

Anyway, here I have several pages of Meteora's diary, in which she showcases various types of jewelry for different types of tails. I think some of the enthusiasm in the description that I have tried to convey here must belong to the ghost of Heinous (the part of her that she has been suppressing for so long). Of course, most of the decorations here would hardly work as intended (the laws of physics and high mobility of the limb will obviously be a big obstacle), but no one pretends to be realistic here.

... and at the end there is also a small gif with a ghost appearance (even two – because I still haven't decided which transition turned out better) >w<

I'm starting to revive. Since the last post, I have had a truly "thrilling" experience of working "from 9:00 to 0:00 + weekends" for almost a month. Although the work paid off pretty well, and months after that almost everything was spent on doctors afterwards, and mentally I still feel like a dried-up raisin that fell under the table in abandoned house in the middle of a desert.

... There will be no conclusion to that thought. Anyways, I have worked hard and my work has been fairly paid, and I have never appreciated my free time and weekends as much as I do now. Just take care of yourself, your time and mental health. And remember, that recovering always takes a lot of time.

And enough of that stuff. I've drawn a Priest-Spider here. And even animated it a little) Here he is. Standing, smiling and barely breathing. Just like me.

Take a little weekend break for Hogwarts Legacy and, what can I say... Beautiful views, architecture, locations and uhh… the rapidly declining magical population of England… Mostly thanks to our “hero” (I mean how many thousands of mages and goblins this kid killed in just one year? Gosh!). I still have quite contradictory impressions of the main plot and some off-the-story "activities"... HOWEVER, if all this were originally presented as a simulator of a young villain (*cough* Voldemort *cough* ) who has to pretend to be a hero, then it would’ve been just be the most "bombardic” thing!  

Anyway, here are some pictures of my villainous little thing. Ah, what else could I say… any spell can become forbidden if you try hard enough, dear.

By the way, when it came to the song, I made the final choice in favor of the "Classics of the post-apocalyptic soundtrack" (which is quite suitable for Jergal as "The Lord of the End of Everything") ... however, there is another option {I'll attach it down below}, not quite suitable for the board in its mood, but in its content ... mmm... the best thing for "The Final Scribe")))

P.S. - While I was playing Death and Taxes, I constantly caught myself thinking that probably what your life would have come if you become the Chosen one (or maybe just a Cleric) of Jergal.
